....That Monday morning feeling........

Seen on the Zugspitze, the highest mountaintop in Germany.

The Austrian/German border is across the top of the mountain.

In the LINK it shows our view we had, we stayed in Ehrwald, Austria.

On the left side in the back of the mountain is Germany

Ils sont courageux, la pente est raide.
Picturit: Indeed, Martine. It was only for the more experienced.

Hi Ho
Hi Ho
Its Off to Work
We go
Picturit: grin... I heard that in the distance and also some yodeling wink..
Astrid.
Wow - great capture, Astrid! This is certainly the trudge I'll feel going into work...
Picturit: That was some serious working up there. Only for the advantaged "walker". Now the weather was good, s few days later all foggy and slippery.
Astrid.
Oh classic shot Astrid, you can see the effort in the body language. It brings back memories.
Picturit: I can imagine, Frank. This was quite the climb up to the top. Lots of slippery rocks (pebbles) here.
Astrid.

These people must be very fit or completely barmy Astrid. Sounds like you enjoyed your stay in Austria
Picturit: We had a great stay in Austria and this was one of the highlights. More pictures will follow of the Zugspitze.
You have to be fit to "work" on this altitude...
Astrid.
Even though many of us are now retired, Astrid, we can still relate to this feeling. Fabulous shot!
Picturit: This was so much fun to be up here and enjoy all the views and things going on, Ginnie. A total joy!!

A fascinating view on these climbers. Just shortly before Thomas' death he remembered his climb up to such an Austrian mountain.
Picturit: Thank you, Philine. What a bittersweet memory. I know that it was a happy memory for Thomas being up in the mountains. A wonderful place to be.
Astrid.
Astrid.
I love how they are trudging determinedly up this slope Astrid.

You had a wonderful view!
Picturit: This was such a wonderful sight. I had to zoom in to even see them. A huge mountain with such small people.

This looks a well worn path Astrid, but it must be a tiresome climb.
Picturit: This was a serious climb and also where they went to looked quite high and very little space to even pass each other. They all must have been in good shape.

Astrid.
Wow, what a great sense of enormity..........like ants climbing! A great shot Astrid smile
Picturit: I had to look twice before I saw them, Martin. I loved the sight of them going up. This is quite the mountain.
Astrid.
That looks to be a steady but ever upwards climb, I don't think even in my younger eyars when I was a lot fitter I could have tackled that.
Picturit: This was going up indeed quite upwards. At this altitude you must know what you are doing. I loved doing this, but now I was sensible...
Astrid.
WHat an incredible hike! Looks challenging to say the least. Beautiful view. Hope you enjoyed your trip. Friendship
Picturit: We so enjoyed the trip, Ruthie. And this was one of the highlights to go up the Zugspitze.
And yes this was challenging and you need the proper gear to make it happen.
Astrid.

It is probably worth their trouble. I see they have their ski-poles with them, so they will quickly ski back down smile

Have you seen pics of the climbing queue at Mt Everest. It has become a joke.
Picturit: Many people walk with "ski-poles" nowadays, Louis. Most have their skies at home wink...
Absolute idiots on that Everest mountain, too many permits given out... a money issue again. And that so many people had to die. But nowadays because of the publicity idiots think, "I can climb the mount Everest", they cannot even climb the stairs in their house... but boy oh boy, I want a selfie in the snow..... Too bad that the ones that are already trying to get to the Everest for years have to suffer because of these idiots...
It was wonderful to walk around on the Zugspitze. Last night it snowed above the 2000 meter in Austria....
Astrid.
it's a great shot and i like the way that you signed it Astrid....petersmile
Picturit: Thank you, Peter. Many climbers were all over the place. The mountaintop is kind of a plateau. Skiing is big there in winter, as the walking is in summer.

That walk looks like an extreme trek!
Picturit: And that was just one of many to do up there. It was wonderful to see.
Astrid.
no no no .... I'm going back to bed
Picturit: grin..... I think that is the right decision, Ryan. I will wake you when they are "upstairs"....
Astrid.
Makes me dizzy in a good way!
