Picturit: grin.. Maybe, Cherry. Or the sun is drying up the mop after a hard days work...
It seems not....Government shutdown ?
Picturit: sad.. I think there would be more litter all over the place...
Hah! Very good, Astrid!!
Picturit: I thought that was so funny. It dried well though.
Une invitation à  faire le ménage ?
Picturit: I think they just were done, Martine and it was drying in the sun.

I understand yesterday's comment, Astrid
Picturit: Indeed, Lisl. Many houses had those patches. All the water and the strong sun.

Even the mop looks tired..
Picturit: HA, indeed... I would be tired too if they put my head on a stick, put it in a bucket and rub it on the floor....
The rest of what needs to be done can't be done by that mop, Astrid! So, it can now take a rest. I love it.
Picturit: I think so too, Ginnie. I thought is it was a great idea to let it dry in the hot sun.
Surement un grand vecu !
Picturit: I think so too, Claudine. And now it can rest.

A nice observation - the trottoir looks so tidy - I wonder that all the windows are closed- I own such a mop, too, for cleaning our staircase.
Picturit: The sun was on that wall all day, you want to keep the heat out. I think this kind of mop is great for your staircase, Philine.
Ha ha.....heerlijk rustig straatbeeld en verderop zou zo maar een oud baasje voor zijn huis kunnen zitten !!
Picturit: Dat oude baasje zat lekker in de schaduw... inderdaad, dit is zo'n dorpje.
i like the thought of leaving the mop end up (instead of the other way round), Astrid. well seen, and the backdrop is also pleasing.
Picturit: This way it dries better, Ayush. And shhhhh don't tell anybody... I don't believe in mops, they spread the dirt all over the floor, but you never read this wink..
The house is a wonderful backdrop.

It almost looks as if damp is affecting this building Astrid.
Picturit: It is, Chad. Being a small island and the water around them and the hot sun makes the houses look like this. They really have to take care of this otherwise it will spread over the whole building.
Love this Lady P. What had they been mopping though?
Picturit: Thank you, Bill. I think the inside corridor maybe or the inside rooms?

Poor marito, he scrubbed the wall so hard to impress marita that the paint came off. Now he sees that he is in serious trouble and went to hide in a local cantina.
Picturit: grin.... I think that is the right story here... and his wife told him, "you are never again to be left alone with that mop"... Marito was all smiles of course.
met de luiken dicht..

ik denk dat ze hun siësta houden

een leuke foto Astrid

prettige dag

ps: Skynet heeft zijn blogactiviteiten stopgezet, normaal krijg je alles te zien op

ik hoop maar dat de link in deze reactie werkt
Picturit: De link werkt, Willy.
Het was onverwachts erg warm op Burano, zelfs voor Italiaanse begrippen. Iedereen probeerde de hitte een beetje buiten te houden.
Dank je wel Willy en nog een prettige dag.

C'est peut-être l'heure de la sieste
Picturit: Yes indeed, JP. it was that time of the day, and very nice for us to take some pictures.
They will never manage to repair that plaster with a mop!
Picturit: I think Mario found that out too and is now getting drunk in the local pub wink.
A fun capture, Astrid. Even when the outer stucco is crumbling, you can see by the exposed brick that these homes are well built.
Picturit: These houses are really solid, it is indeed that outer layer that is crumbling.

That's the Italians for you smile I think the walls need a little TLC.
Picturit: A lot of walls needed some TLC, too much water and hot sun on those walls.
Certainly one of your best, Astrid.
