I love it, Astrid!
i am so glad that you got some snow for Christmas Astrid... i hope that it stays on the ground for you...

and that the canals freeze up in the new year so that you can skate from village to village !

Merry Christmas....petersmile
Picturit: Thank you, Peter. This picture was taken on the 10th December and we hard warm water raining for many many days, so no snow on the ground and I so hope we have the frost we want, but as you know NO SNOW, that destroys the ice grin..
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
Very nice framing, Astrid.
That is just simply beautiful, Astrid!!! Love this!
excellent shot, Astrid. i like the salty-peppery look outside.

Que c'est beau toute cette neige !
That day was like a "miracle" for us because of the snow, Astrid. We were in heaven. I love how you captured this through the window.
Picturit: We had such a great day at Rolduc, Ginnie Lots of memories there and it was a delight to see it again with you AND snow, who would have thought.
Thank you as always.

What a wonderful image - it gives some Christmas mood - enjoy your Christmas days together very much even with this weasther we now have again!
Thank you for the link, I would like to see this Abbey one day.
Picturit: You are so welcome and I know there are tours through the Abbey and they show you some wonderful parts, like the library. I have never been on a tour. It was great to be back after 46 years. I spend one week here with school. Fond memories.

A lovely seasonal picture Astrid. I have never heard of this place, it sounds charming
Picturit: Thank you, Chris. It was great to be back after 46 years. I spend one week here with school. Fond memories. It was good to see it with 'other' eyes and I could tell they renovated a lot and now it is even more beautiful.

I remember other pictures of yours taken through similar windows to this one - they make such effective framing, and this one is particularly lovely
Un Noel sans neige serait triste ..Nous n'en n'avons jamais par ici..
Bonne journée Astrid

This is a superb picture Astrid, what more can I say.
Picturit: Thank you kindly, Sir. I so love snow, it always adds to the pictures I think.
If only we just have grey fog
This is a delightful snow picture Lady P.
Isn't that beautiful. I have seen much about the snow in Holland recently.
I like the picture but sadly not the snow, I always feel that these days so many people travel during the Christmas period, we we used to have to with our parents a long way away, and the last things one wants is snowed up roads.
Picturit: I know how we are 'not used' to snow and come un-prepaired. People at work laugh at me because I have one of the smallest cars and winter/snow tires.... however I have never problems with rain or snow, I am very careful but I get there without my car doing things I don't want.....

This is an excellent photograph. 'T lijkt me wel twee witte pieten daar op de standaards.
Picturit: Ja inderdaad. Thank you, Louis. Er was een beeldentuin, vandaar.

Snow always looks wonderful through these type of windows.

I know, at home I enjoy snow through similar windows smile
Picturit: I know it looks so wonderful and it takes me back to my childhood when we had those 'ice-flowers' on the window and we wanted to go out and throw snowballs.... smile
