C'est impressionnant, jolie statue.
the realism in this sculpture is absolutely stunning, Astrid. look at that sinewy forearm and the details in the flowing hair!
Picturit: I was looking at this statue for a long time, taking in all the details. Such skills... Thank you, Ayush.

The realism of this statue is very impressive. It reminds me of a Hamlet figure while reciting a monologue:
HAMLET: To be, or not to be--that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die, to sleep--
No more--and by a sleep to say we end
The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to. 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep--
To sleep--perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause.
Picturit: I can just hear the statue talking to the skull...
It does seem to be the perfect subject matter for something Shakespearean! smile
Picturit: Indeed so. I could make a whole story to around this scene. I love all the details of this statue. Thank you, Ginnie.

He is saying to the one he is holding: "At long last I found someone with less hair than I have"
Picturit: HA.... he sure is right about that... I always wonder what it is with churches and skulls....
"I think I'll have my hair like this next time"...
Picturit: grin..... that will take a loooong time... smile
