A superb capture! The lighting is wonderful & the comp is nicely inclusive!
Picturit: Thank you, Elizabeth. I took two pictures and the funny thing is this is the priest you see, in the other booth is a man who came with a woman and the woman leaned against the confession booth, the moment she spotted me she went to the side (angry looking) I can make a whole story about this...
In the first picture I only got half of her...

It looks like the Smokers' Retreat is occupied...
Picturit: I think the priest is too busy smoking....

I might find that difficult, Astrid, but perhaps it is good to examine one's soul
Picturit: I did not grow up Catholic, what I have problems with is how somebody who is not allowed to be married can do counseling about problems in married life...
At first I thought it was the man in the font "at work," but then I noticed the confessional. HA! In all the churches thus far I've NEVER seen a light on in the confessional so you were lucky! I'm with Lisl on this one, however...glad I didn't grow up with this.
Picturit: I have never seen a confessional like this with spolights, only the brave dare to go in I think wink... I am so glad that I did not growing up like this too...how can they do counseling about married life, they are not allowed to be married themselves.

Rarely I saw a priest at work in the "Beichtstuhl". On the left we see a stoup, often adorned with a figure in the middle in Italy.
Picturit: This was very fascinating to me too. I love the flooring and all the decorations.

Oh I can see him, he is allowing people to speak to him, declaring their faults Astrid
Picturit: yep and say a 50 hail Marys and never do it again and your soul will be saved....
I have never seen a confessional illuminated in this way Astrid. I suppose it's having a window, albeit with obscure glass.
Picturit: This was the first for me too, there was obscure glass in, I don't in between the priest and the victim though.

Bel ensemble, j'aime la statuette.
Picturit: Thank you, Martine.
ahha, i had to look at the image again after seeing your title, Astrid. delightful framing.
Picturit: Thank you, Ayush. It took some other people too to have a second look smile
Judging from the glow that was some confession Lady P
Picturit: Don't you love it, never in my life I would dare to go in 'in the spotlights'...
Quelle belle prise de vue ..innattendue certes ...
Bonne journée
Picturit: Thank you so much, Claudine.
Oh, you are bringing back memories.
Picturit: smile... I was not brought up Catholic. I would have been there daily wink

Hah, hah - very funny. It took me a moment or two to catch the drift. A great picture as well.
Picturit: Thank you, Louis. I could not let go of this opportunity I had never seen such a confessional with all the light...
Nice capture, Astrid. I like the light in the confessional.
Picturit: Thank you, Frank. It was the first time I saw so much light in a confessional.
A really good image, you don't need to say any Hail Mary's after producing such a good oe as this smile
Picturit: smile... Thank you, Brian. I would have needed a Google to produce a Hail Mary... I was not brought up Catholic.
i read your comment to Elizabeth Astrid... i'm glad that you scared her off... the confessional is a sacrament and not to be shared with anyone but you and your priest...
weel done....peterwink
Picturit: Thank you, Peter. I think she was also angry that I captured her and maybe that I caught her 'red-handed' well 'red-eared' in this case...

Great capture smile
Picturit: Thank you, Cherry. One of those pictures you have to capture.
I know this is about the man at work, but it's hard for my eyes to stray from that amazing flooring!
Picturit: All flooring in the churches are 'to die for'... short of eyes all the time. Thank you, Robin.
