Boat Friday, space for four......

Boat Friday, space for four......

OMG! I never saw that, Astrid! Surely something even Venetians must never see...a baby buggy in a gondola. There's always a first for everything. smile
Picturit: I took this picture on my walk through the Ghetto, I went 'left/right/left/right' and saw this scene. I even have a picture that the Gondolier strapped the buggy tight.
You are right, Ginnie. Their is always a first for everything.

This is such a delightful take on the gondolas of Venice, Astrid
Picturit: Thank you, Lisl. It is hard to not capture every gondola there is. They are so beautiful and I found out, that a new one costs €20.000.

I hope you had this experience of being punted Astrid
Picturit: Ginnie and I decided not to go for the ride. Ginnie had done it before and I rather look than have the attention on me (40 minutes was €80)
Promenade très romantique !
Picturit: Indeed... I would love to know the story wink

Haha- I never saw a prawn with a bambino in a gondola- what a lovely observation and refined treatment!
Picturit: I would love to know the story..... I could not resist to capture this romantic scene.

hahah!! Normally the gondola ride is for the romantics. Looks like the romance has already happened... The gondolier is fake, though; he's not wearing his straw hat with a red ribbon.
Picturit: Maybe this baby was made the last time they were in Venice and they wanted to celebrate it HA, you never know, maybe the man was tired to push the buggy over all those bridges... which are steps and not smooth....
I was so disappointed by the fact that we only saw 2 or 3 in 'real costume'..
They decided to splash out on a boat trip Astrid. Well, good for them.
Picturit: Indeed so and maybe the man was too tired pushing the buggy over all the bridges, they have steps and are not smooth...
Ha ha. Love the novel way to get the baby to stop crying.
Picturit: It slept all the way I think.

He sang, the baby stopped bawling and dad (maybe just mom's present man) is taking pictures. Lovely presentation.
Picturit: Thank you, Louis, it was fun to see the buggy being strapped to the boat and off they went.
Ah, the classic shot!
Picturit: Indeed so... but the buggy was so special.
Very nice border...
Picturit: Thank you, Larry, I have Paint Shop Pro and it comes with the program.

J'aime bien le landau du bébé à  l'avant.
Picturit: That was the fun thing I spotted in this gondola, I think the baby slept all the way.
that must be some honeymoon Astrid... great shot and treatment...

you and Ginnie should drop in over the weekend for a surprise....petersmile
Picturit: Maybe the second anniversary wink...
Wishful thinking, Peter...

And a pram smile
Picturit: Indeed so. This was so funny to see.. The Gondolier strapped the buggy so that it did not move around.
Oh my gosh that baby carriage! That's priceless!! Gorgeous image!
Picturit: The things you see in Venice, this was one of the odd things. Short of eyes all the time and do you know what made it also so special, no traffic like in cars and all the noises that come with it... you get used to it very easily.
And a really beautiful boat, as well! This is wonderful, Astrid!!
Picturit: Those boats cost like $22.0000 easy, so yes they are so beautiful. made from different kind of woods. A delight to see them on the water.
Too bad that not all the gondoliers were wearing the proper outfit.

Fabulous! Takes me there!
Picturit: You would love the place, but not in high season... more to come.
Great image, the buggy is the most unusual feature of course.
Picturit: Indeed and it caught my eye. The buggy was strapped down to the gondola too..
i quite like the glints on the water... and also on the boatman's head, Astrid.
Picturit: Shinny all the way... thank you, Ayush.
