Or maybe windmill Friday...
Picturit: Indeed, they built a lot there... always lots of wind and not many people live there.
Picturit: Indeed smile, I would not mind a spin in that boat grin...

Those folks are having a lot of fun, Astrid!
Picturit: You know they have....and that might be a reason to try to get a job there...
Now I can tell that these people are travelling quite fast Astrid.
Picturit: They did travel fast... I heard them coming and had to be fast on my feet to capture them.... otherwise it would have been a complete different picture.. HA.. (NO boat Friday grin)

Je pense que c'est un canot de sauvetage. Jolie photo avec les éoliennes dans le fond.
Picturit: Indeed so, these are people from the K.N.R.M. The Royal Dutch Rescue Association. They do great work and save a lot of people/animals a year.
Look at the forest of turbines. Quite a sight.
Picturit: We have a lot of those in the Netherlands.
In 2015 we had 2200 turbines, they have electricity for 2.4 million people. (473.000 houses)
And still building....
A speeding Astrid!! Nice catch!!
Picturit: I would not mind behind the steering wheel... and speed grin....

You can see the speed, and imagine the sound
Picturit: Both were great and exciting to watch... boys/girls with their toy... HA
23 Skidoo! I love it...following the sailboat. That was a "rich" day watching what was out on the water.
Picturit: We saw a lot 'floating' by that afternoon. I can just sit here and see 'life on the lake'.... It was a great weekend too smile
Thank you being my partner in crime smile

I can imagine the speed - my eyes are attracted by the park of wind turbines in the background. We are at the North-Sea.
Picturit: We are in Huizen, near the Flevoland https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinz_Flevoland
I think you will like this link. Scroll down and you see a 'path' in the water... and two benches, as a child I came there to walk with my parents and now I walked that with Ginnie and we sat at one of those benches.
Thank you, Philine.

I see this is the boat you use to get to work every day Astrid
Picturit: grin..... that would be great and almost possible. (10 minutes walk from the 'harbour'wink I would have a blast and what a way to travel.... HA... smile

Ahhh.. the good ship "Astrid"; a fine cafe! This looks like one of our lifeboats fused on inshore waters; a welcome sight to those in distress, I'm sure. Thats a huge wind farm in the background.
Picturit: Indeed, these people are always a welcome sight if you are in need of help on water... and I think they go out every once in a while to practice too in the 'wild weather'. In 2015 we had 2200 of those turbines and still building.
I bet this can shift a bit!
Picturit: They can do almost everything with these boats... very brave people too. They have to go out sometimes to save stupid people who think they are invisible. Never underestimate, wind/water....
A working boat today. Good one.
Picturit: Thank you, Mary. Yes indeed, this one works and is very fast.

De Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij onderwg. Bent jij zoms in de water gevallen? What a way to get them to pose for a picture.
Picturit: Nee, gelukkig niet, ik stond erbij en ik keek ernaar smile
I love these fast boats and they do a great job.
a rescue boat Astrid... great capture... love the wind farm in the distance... they are better out in the sea than in and around the towns....petersmile
Picturit: Thank you, Peter. I think these people enjoy the speed, however they do a great job in rescuing people/boat/animals too...
I send you an e-mail with some more information about that wind farm.
Looks like a pretty speedy one!
Picturit: It is, Tom. I saw some Youtubes that show how they do exercises in rough weather.
