Your elephant is masterful, Astrid, but you should sack the engraver ...

[grin]
This is a terrific shot of your creation Astrid!!! Fantastic!
It is a fabulous photo of your Olifant Astrid... i think that your part of this creation would be the heart shaped bubble closest to your lens....petersmile

I will never forget this in all my life, MLMA! What a blast. I am so dang proud of you. grin
Picturit: Thank you so much, this was so unique, I know I had a smile on my face all day. We both had a blast. Thank you for taking so many pictures. What a memory!!
Astrid.
That absurd blob which shouldn't be there. What is your next career move going to be?
Picturit: That is his left ear, that should be big enough to fly, don't you think. I tried to make a Dumbo #2.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKaeHL1ZXbQ&feature=related
I don't know what my next move will be.... smile
Astrid.

You are very clever dear Sis: but I always knew you were!
Picturit: Thank you dear brother, this was so much fun. I did one ear, the tail, two legs. It really turned out to be a happy elephant.
It is difficult, but a challenge.
Astrid.
Oh lady P you are just tooo clever grin I saw Ginnie's pic, you looked very professional!
Picturit: Thank you so much. This was so much fun. What a chance I got, more than 3 hours of trying and having a blast.

Astrid.

My guess is that you made the hat and the trunk. How did I know that you would be very good at this form of art Astrid?
Picturit: To be honest, Mart made the hat, I did the trunk, tail, two legs.
Glass is so much fun to work with, very difficult. A challenge for sure!.
It was a absolute fabulous day.
Astrid.
A fine capture of your creation Astrid.
It all looks good to me Astrid.
What a beautiful memento to take home. Working with glass is very satisfying. To see this solid turn to liquid, then turn solid again is very special.
Picturit: smile You work with glass too, so you know. This was so fascinating to me. To be able to do it for more than 3 hours in a row. We had a wonderful time.
Astrid.

Picturit: ....and did not a too good job with it grin..... shh don't tell anybody, but I went skating and took too little time for the name wink.
Saturday I go skating again. it looks like this.

I saw mr Yellowbear also claimed something about abstract art. A lot of it going around today.
have no clue about your question but this is a brilliant effort at glass blowing. i saw ginnie's shot. did you make this elephant from that blob?
Picturit: I did half of it and the glassblower (the master) did the other half. I tried to make the trunk, 2 legs, tail... The elephant is not made from the blob, I used a solid glass tube.

Great shot, must have been a nice experience to do something so different.
Picturit: This was such a unique chance, I had a blast. We go back a few times. Ginnie takes/makes pictures for his new website. I might give it a try again on those days.
Astrid.

Ooooh! Love this, Astrid!

Great work Astrid!
I do not know what part will you've done but it must be difficult to work with molten glass ... I would not do it! Congratulations on the elephant and the photo...
Picturit: It is so difficult, but so much fun to create something from glass.
Thank you for your kind words.

Very nice indeed! Cool.
Oh Astrid... I am SO impressed with this. And I have no clue which part is yours and which part is the master's... it is an amazing effort by the two of you. I so enjoyed seeing all of Ginnie's images on her blog and seeing how quickly you managed to catch on to this new skill!
