nice shot, Astrid. i think it was a very enjoyable walk in this park.
Picturit: Ayush, we had so many nice walks and we plan to do this for next year too. The family loves to show us around and they love to walk as well.
Astrid.
Beautifully composed, Astrid - this is perfect for a portrait layout. I had to really hunt for your signature!
Picturit: Thank you for your kind words, Elizabeth. This park was just amazing and I loved to walk around here and observe everything.

You seem to have climbed up a tree to have such a view?
Picturit: I was chased by a bear, Philine and this was the only way out. While I was waiting for him to go away, I saw this beautiful view. grin...
(It was a very hilly track, Philine. With steep ups and downs)

Very nice Astrid. I hope you didn't get yourself lost in the woods..
Picturit: Thank you, Chris. I sprinkled breadcrumbs to lead me out of there again and I met the big wolf too, or is that another story to tell??
I might be very easy to get lost here....
Astrid.
Cela donne envie d'y aller faire un tour ..superbe photo !
Picturit: Thank you, Claudine. I know for sure that you would love Maine. It is just beautiful.
Astrid.
I love that you're also still showing Maine photos, Astrid, from our Autumn visit. There was so much beauty to be seen, as you show us here.
Picturit: You are welcome, Ginnie. There are many more that I like to show, we were there at the right time. What a beautiful place to be.

You really enjoyed your Maine visit, Astrid. I like this little rustic bridge in the woods
Picturit: Thank you, Lisl. Maine is such a wonderful state and we plan to come here every year before we fly to Atlanta. There is so much to see and the family loves to show us around too.
Astrid.
Looks wonderful Lady P
Picturit: Thank you, Bill. It is a wonderful area to spend time in.

It seems you did plenty of walking in lovely areas Astrid.
Picturit: We did indeed a lot of walking and we all love it. Also I did a lot of exploring by myself in the neighbourhood where we stayed. It was just great.

I just read that you were chased by a bear Astrid. Glad to see it could not outrun you.
Picturit: grin..... That was quite the adventure, Chad. wink.
That will be the day that I outrun a bear.... no way is my guess.
Can you imagine meeting a bear?
Astrid.
Wat een mooi en sfeervol park, zo in herfstkleuren.
Picturit: Dank je wel, Marjolein. Het was er zo stil en mooi en alleen het kabbelende riviertje hoorden we en de vogels natuurlijk.

Un joli partage
JP
Picturit: Thank you, JP. It was a wonderful walk in the forest.
Astrid.
Great photo Astrid and all the more so, for the story behind it!
Picturit: Thank you, Martin. I have to confess that the bear was made up, Philine thought I was high up in a tree so take this picture. I would not be alive today if I met a bear.... they are fast and deadly. And I have too much imagination sad...

Kind of forest picture that I like. The lines and colours.
Picturit: Thank you, Louis. For us this is the real deal also, not that "one and a half tree" that we call "forest"..... grin

Astrid.
What a magical spot! Friendship
Picturit: It is indeed, Ruthie. SO quiet and so beautiful and with that little river made it very nice.
Have a wonderful day.
Astrid.
What a nice little spot.
Picturit: Thank you, Brian. We took a nice walk in the forest.

Acadia National park is always somewhere I wanted to go but I generally end in west coast somewhere. One day... ! I like your view through the trees.
Picturit: Alan, you would love that part of Maine. We went on many hikes and would have been on more if we had the time. Who knows that maybe one day, the airplane will take you there.
Astrid.
I love the park that is named after my people. Strange origin of the word as it was reported that they found Arcadia, or utopia.
Picturit: Mary, I think you are "lost in translation" here. The name of the park is Acadia, not aRcadia..... no R in the name. https://www.nps.gov/acad/index.htm
I had to google the Arcadia and yes, that is Utopia. I made the same mistake, for Arcadia is known by me as well.
Astrid.
Lovely shot, Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you, Tom.
Astrid.
A lovely peek between the trees. I read in the comments that you had a bear encounter. I have had many. It is always a possibility here. Bears and cougars.
Picturit: This is a beautiful place, thank you Michael. I have to confess that the story with the bear got out of proportion. One of my friends made the comment that it looked like that I was up in a tree to take this picture, I made a joke with her that I was chased by a bear, I know, not something to joke about but that was just a joke. No bear to be seen. I know that you live in an area where bears are and I hope you watch out for them. I respect nature and all creatures that live in it. I apologize for the "bad joke"....
Have a wonderful day and please be careful out in the wilderness.
Astrid.
