Escaping it all it seems...

A lovely wide river Astrid. Maybe that boat is heading out to the sea..
Picturit: Thank you, Chris. This is the "Bergse Maas"...
Eventually the boat will end up in Rotterdam and than the sea..
This is at 51°43'13.1"N 4°53'05.6"E
Off into the wild blue yonder! I want to go back to the Biesbosch with you again soon.

An industrial area - I like your boat Friday photo very much! It is nice to follow the boat.
Off to collect another boatload of asylum seekers from the UK trying to escape Breait
Picturit: Wow... that would be something.... in WWII many Dutch people would try to row to England to escape the Germans... now they try to escape again... sad

I have a book, which I enjoyed as a boy. It showed a port area and showed two pictures. One was as it would have been and was called ‘Nature’s world’, the other was built up and was called ‘Man’s world’. Your photograph today Astrid made me think of it.
Picturit: I can imagine how this reminds you of the book. This is almost two worlds.
De quoi se faire une belle sortie !

The name says it all. Surrounding the waters must have been endless reeds. It probably took industrial effort to tame some of it.

Now that looks to be a fine way to spend an hour or so before morning up at riverside cafe somewhere.
Picturit: Indeed, Alan... there are little harbour towns enough to have a nice treat.
It is going very well too.
Wow, they're making a break for it.............a great scene Astrid! smile
Picturit: Thank you, Martin. Yes, indeed he was in a hurry.
I like how you composed this. Friendship

With the waves and the smoke there is a lot of action in this photograph.

A great capture smile
Picturit: Thank you, Cherry.
zooming into the weekend, Astrid. i had my eyes peeled out for your signature tongue
Picturit: tongue... I am sorry... I almost drowned here... wink... next time it will be more visible..
