The Amalfi coast is spectacular and I loved my stay in Ravello where were able to walk to the spectacular gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone.

And then when my camera broke we were directed off the tourist track to Salerno. That was a wonderful authentic Italy experience smile
Picturit: I really enjoyed that part of Italy and we were so lucky to be at the right side of the bus... and because of slow traffic we were able to take lots of pictures.
a fine shot, Astrid. if i lived in a place with such a balcony (the one with the tall doors), i might be spending quite some time there.
Picturit: I would be outside all the time. Too bad there are so many tourists overcrowding the place.
Beautifully done, Astrid! I love the tones and your perspective - great job while "on the go"! I see a creature in the clouds on yonder mountain!
Picturit: Thank you, Elizabeth. I so loved the view and the views of the volcanoes with clouds. "Clouds" can be full of creatures. I often imagine the same things.
Ces maisons ont une vue imprenable sur la mer, c'est très plaisant.
Picturit: This is a wonderful part of Italy. I hope that the tourists will not "over run' the country.
Oh, how fun,Astrid. Not one of the typical Amalfi images!
Picturit: Thank you, Ginnie. We saw all kinds of houses and limoncello farms. I loved that ride very much.

There's so much to like in this scene with the distant mountains and far off town over the lake Astrid. Not to mention Mrs Lombardi's washing on the line..
Picturit: There was so much to see along this coast and it was good that the traffic was slow. It gave us a chance to take some pictures.
I love the views of volcanoes and clouds...
A wonderful jumble of buildings Lady P
Picturit: There was so much to see, Bill and so many different houses. I loved the view on the volcanoes.

Is t it a wonderful coast Astrid. I drove around it one evening back in the early 1990s, but it was exhausting and I could not take my eyes off the road to enjoy the scenery properly.
Picturit: I can imagine, Chad. Nothing has changed. We drove in a very small (rented) bus with an Italian local driver and even he had sometimes problems to get us through... I was so glad I was not the driver smile.

Wat een echt vrolijk mediterriaans gezicht.
Picturit: Hier en daar een beetje opfrissen zou geen overbodige weelde zijn wink.... maar over het algemeen een prachtige omgeving om te vertoeven.

I like the little terraces. Just the place for a sundowner smile
Picturit: Indeed, Alan. I would not mind spending some time there.

magnifique prise
Picturit: Thank you kindly, JP.
Very well taken if you were moving at the time, Maureen would like to visit this area, sadly we both know that isn't going to happen. My Wednesday post might tell you one reason why!
Picturit: If ever you go, please don't do that in high season, NO FUN, TOO HOT.....
It was great to have been here, but I think I won't have a drive to go back to Italy again.

Excellent. The bus must have stood still for a moment. That house may look up for some cleaning up, but what a site to be.
Picturit: Thank you, Louis. Yes indeed, the bus was sometimes caught in traffic and sometimes that was with a nice view...
What a fabulous point of view! Friendship
Picturit: Thank you, Ruthie. That coast over there is just amazing (and very crowded).

niet gemakkelijk om uit een bus te fotograferen Astrid

en meestal zijn de ruiten nog getint ook

maar met je foto is niet mis, integendeel

een likje verf zou die gebouwen wel geen kwaad doen

mooie " warme" dagen gewenst !
That's a great shot to get from the bus!
Picturit: We were lucky that the traffic was very slow at some points, Tom.
Très pittoresque !!!
Picturit: Thank you so much, Claudine. We so loved that coast.
