It seems to mave mostly the same ingredients as all the other comfort "foods", Astrid.
Picturit: Indeed, Ray. And just avoid sugar for a month and read about what sugar does to the body and you will be cured...
Astrid.
Beurk, du Nutella avec de l'huile de palme.
Picturit: The Palm oil is not even here the problem, I know it should not be use too, it is the sugar, Martine....
Astrid.
It was all going so well....'Til we got to the bottom.
Picturit: grin... love your comment, Frank... Sadly it is true, try to have a good conversation with somebody who "ate it all".... no chance at all.
Astrid.
The thing is, I USED to love eating Nutella and peanut butter together in my past life, never knowing it had so much sugar. "Quoth the raven, Never more!" But it makes for a great photo, Astrid!
Picturit: The thought of eating that together, Ginnie. Like I never got the hang of eating peanut butter and jelly together.... Nutella is only good for one thing..... "it makes a great photo" like you said.
Thank you.
Astrid.

Picturit: sad I know, Chris...... like it kills a lot of people that don't know that yet...

I haven't had Nutella for years! mays be decades!
Picturit: Good for you, Anne. There are so many other things to eat with less sugar and that taste good.

Il en existe en bio
JP
Picturit: I was not aware of that before I posted this. I have to be honest that I never even looked for an substitute.
Astrid.
I cannot imagine a situation where I would eat this muck
Picturit: Same with me, Bill. For some reason the system in my body says "NO"... I rather have Marmite....

To me, this is disgusting stuff...I thought, a few months ago, that I should see what it tastes like. The miniscule amount I had confirmed everything that my bias had against it.
Picturit: Richard, you are right. I think my body would have a fierce reaction to this poison. Even the smell of it sad

I do not like it myself Astrid, and I’m glad now that I see the contents. Yes, nuts are healthy but...
Picturit: The nuts are the only thing I would eat, but I buy those in a bag with other nuts....
Astrid.
I would not eat anything processed like this. I do eat a LOT of nuts but no processed foods.
Picturit: Nuts are good "for" us. We eat a handful everyday and we have 95% not processed food in our diet.
Astrid.
I seem to recall trying this at some time but I'm pretty sure we've never actually bought a jar of it, the ingredients sound awful.
Picturit: Just don't buy it, Brian and don't feed it to somebody else. If you want to eat nuts, just buy them in a bag wink.
Astrid.
I buy the organic version, but use it sparingly. I have been to places which offer nutella crepes, pancakes and waffles.
Picturit: https://store.nutiva.com/products/organic-hazelnut-spread?variant=8687377285180
Please use it seldom, I read that it is still 2 tablespoons per serving.... 2 tablespoons of sugar is a lot...
The "crap" they serve these days is almost a crime.
Astrid.
Anything with palm oil should be a no-no!
Picturit: You are so right, Tom. And it also should be a no-no to all the sugar.

No.. luckily! I'll stick with my porridge, thank you!
Picturit: HA, a man to my heart smile... I have muesli and we try to eat no sugar at all... which is very hard to fins sometimes. We do read the labels and compare.

een verrassend thema Astrid...

zelf lust ik het niet ..

een knappe foto

fijne avond
Picturit: Ja, soms zie ik iets dat me totaal verrast. 5 kilo Nutella in een emmer, dat is bijna een misdaad.
Nog een fijne dag, Willy.

In Israel they eat a pancake with nutella and banana. So I asked for peanut butter and banana. (I scratch the icing from cake - I can't stand stuff that are very sweet).

One gallon of nutella is a lot. Great picture.
Picturit: In Italy they also have a sweet tooth, sometimes it was very hard for me to find something "normal" (in my eyes) to eat for breakfast. My body reacts negatively on too much sugar. (and no I don't have diabetics)
Thank you, Louis.

Oh YUM! Never saw one of these!! My grandkids would love it.
Picturit: sad.... I imagine that they like it..... but than and now I talk about about my son when he grew up.... after we found out what was "wrong with him" and took away most of the sugar and colourings from the food, we had the most normal kid after that.... he still cannot stand too much sweets.

I am not a fan over sugary fatty man made creations.

On the other hand I love your photo smile
Picturit: Me/us either. we cannot stand too much sugar.
I had to capture this, who believes a 5 kilo jar of Nutella....smile
Astrid.
this is not for me, Astrid. although it is a nice photo opportunity. and worth thinking that they made an efficient, well designed, industrial duty set up to deliver all the sugar.
Picturit: The industry is guilty to many health issues for people, all the hidden sugars. All along they knew sugar is not good for the body, but the big money made everybody shut up sad. Now we know better, but still people are stupid, like smoking...sigh.

Excellent composition but not something I would eat.
Picturit: Thank you, Beth. Same for me smile
Astrid.
i don't care what is in the Nutella Astrid i just like to eat it... this is the first time that i have ever seen such a big jar that it needs a pump to serve it....petersmile
Picturit: Good for you, Peter. And I assume you don't spoon it out of the jar, that might give you wings wink.... I never saw it like this. We do have mayonnaise jars like this in places where they sell "French Fries"
