A perfect view of river, boat and architecture.

A living photograph smile
Picturit: Thank you, Cherry. I never thought I would end up with a "Boat Friday" picture from Rome...
Astrid.
Oh this looks so nice in B&W... it keeps the "modern" boat from distracting! It looks inclusive.
Picturit: Thank you, Elizabeth. I never thought I would end up with a "Boat Friday" picture from Rome...

Love this Astrid. The open sweeping view of the river and that view of the bridge & buildings. It makes me just want to climb those steps and walk around
Picturit: I think you will love Rome. There is so much to see and we only spend two days, too short from my point of view. I never thought I would end up with a "Boat Friday" picture from Rome...

It looks so good Astrid. I’m so glad that you have experienced these great things on your holiday.
Picturit: It was great to walk around in Rome, a thing I never intended to do.... (never say never) Wonderful architecture and history of course.
I never thought I would end up with a "Boat Friday" picture from Rome...
Astrid.
What a sight to behold, Astrid, especially in B&W. I'm so glad you were finally able to see Rome with your own eyes!
Picturit: I am glad that we visited Rome and that I could get the gist of the city. We had a great time there and I never thought I would end up with a "Boat Friday" picture from Rome...
Astrid.
Magnifique photo , le noir et blanc lui va bien !
Picturit: Thank you, Claudine. There was so much to see that I want it to keep in B&W.

What a view - it makes me just want to travel to Rome where I have not been yet.
Picturit: You will love Rome, Philine. If you go make sure you spend a few days and take some good walking shoes wink.... buses and metro do go, but they are filled with pickpockets and even our guide was robbed the year before and she came prepared....
Astrid.
Ooh. A river cruise boat full of people. Wish I was on it.
Picturit: I think you would have loved that, Mary. Slowly the city will slide by and you can just relax. It is a great city to visit. But not in high season.
Astrid.
What an enjoyable photograph, the boat is in just the right place for your composition and presenting it in B.& W.to me seems to enhance the detail of those lovely buildings. Sorry of this sounds a bit technical Astrid but IMHO it is the best picture you've posted from Italy so far, and they've all been good. One tip though, to the left of the boat is a tiny white something in the water, Clone that out and it will be 100% instead of 99.99999% perfect smile
Picturit: Well thank you very much for your kind words and wonderful compliment. No excuse but I had little time... things are a little hectic and normally I would have cloned it out. See it as a "perfect picture and I don;t notice that horizon is not straight HA....
I will write more in an e-mail.
Astrid.
Oh, Rome has so many beautiful views.
Astrid.

Picturit: Thank you kindly, Bill. I loved this part of Rome.
Astrid.
I remember being told when in Rome that the old bridges were lasting longer than the new ones ! Nice b/w Astrid.
Picturit: You might be right about that, Frank. Some of the bridges are wonderful decorated with statues.
Thank you, Frank.

This looks great in b&w. I think this river is slowly running dry.
Picturit: Thank you, Louis. And yes there still is a drought from last year in most parts of the Europe. It will give a problem soon.
Astrid.
A timeless shot, Astrid!
Picturit: Thank you, Tom.

Astrid.
Astrid.
i's great in b&w Astrid... you chose a good point of view across the river....petersmile
Picturit: Thank you, Peter. I saw that boat coming and had waited for it....

This is a beautiful capture and I like the b&w processing. It works well.
Picturit: Thank you, Beth. The water had a strange colour and kind of did not fit in the whole picture, solution was the B&W and it worked.
Astrid.
