this is a great shot, with the high contrast, the bold colours and a warm tone, Astrid. and the choice of your signature is definitely you. enjoy your break.
Picturit: Thank you, Ayush. It is one of those things I see and it is impossible to get it in one shot. I know we will see some wonderful things in Italy.
Astrid.

I'm so glad you have all these views and the context, Astrid, because I really want to know more about this statue. Maybe Philine will know???

And YES, your signature is fabulous!
Picturit: Maybe Philine will know.. This was one statue which was impossible to show in one shot and miss out the beauty of it all around.
Thank you as always, Ginnie.

A strange sculpture in which I can’t understand what the figure with the chalice and host is doing lying where he is. He could be at the foot of Christ but then he seems to have spilt the contents of the chalice.

Astrid, your trip to Italy that you told me about in Nristol is finally upon us. I wish you and Ginnie the very best of times there. It sounds so exciting, so please don’t forget to take a camera.
Picturit: We were wonderfing about the figure and I tried to fins some information, but I think we need Philine to tell us.....
Thank you for your best wishes for our trip, I have Ginnie, my camera and 3 battery packs and the charger...so the most important are checked wink....You will see the pictures soon.......

Its interesting to see both images but from different angles. Ir looks to be very well cared for.

Picturit: This is one of those statues you cannot show in one shot and miss out the rest of it, Alan.

You won't have to do the dishes like this fellow has had to do. Enjoy your vaycay.
Picturit: No, everything is taken care of I hope and paid for... the last is very important otherwise I might end up in the kitchen anyway grin..
Thank you, Mary.
Astrid.
It's a very fine carving isn't it. Have a great time in Italy.
Picturit: Thank you very much, Brian. I know we will end up with lots of pictures.
Astrid.

Zooming out from top to bottom. A strange figure, the one crawling around the bishop's feet. Gold chain, big beard, a book and an empty cup - the size of the man not in proportion to the cleric. I can just wonder. It will probably something out of RC history and can be traceable if cleric was known.
Picturit: Louis, I tried all the saints and what the characteristics are, no match, so now we have to wait for Philine to be back from Dresden and hopefully she will know who this is..... it has to do with offering and a "hostie". I am not RC and have no clue.

What a wonderful beard!
Picturit: Don't you just love that beard, his hair matches with it....
Astrid.
you both got that repented sinner from good points of view...

if you get to Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome... light a candle for me....petersmile
Picturit: We have no clue what that figure was, you might be right with a sinner, stealing the offerings and the Sacramental bread....
We will do, Peter.
Astrid.
A fine companion to Ginnie's... as you are to her...
Picturit: Thank you kindly, Larry.
