Very cool choice with the focus and framing - makes it quite creepy.
Picturit: Gargoyels are my favourite, but that does not make me creepy too I hope
A spewing beastie Astrid: nice bit of focussing here
Picturit: Thanks Chris, it was worth the effort to come in real close
Wow! That's a very cool fountain and a neat abstract view.
Picturit: Thank you Mary, in my student time we came here with our drawing class, we had to draw this fountain, well I can tell you taking a picture is much more easy
I am sitting here laughing at your title, Astrid. How clever of you!
Picturit: If they are the spitting image of the photographer....I wouldn't know...I was not paying attention, I almost fell into the fountain
Nice DoF you have in this photo! Nice black and white tones in your photo!
Picturit: The original color (seen on my post of tomorrow) was not good in this picture, thank you Robbie as always, Astrid (BTW I see the time of comment, trouble sleeping too as so many of us
What a great picture. I like the angle of the camera...water coming towards the viewer. Very interesting and creative shot!
Picturit: I had do some climbing, no body was watching
Good choice of frame and DOF!
Picturit: Thanks Martin, these creatures were too 'pretty' to let go...Astrid
You crack me up woman, with your title. I hope you were not standing to close to the gargoyle as you would have got very wet and it was a dry day after all!!LOL
Great capture and use of DOF Astrid. corking shot
Picturit: Can I let you into a secret, I almost fell in....
I like the way you have used the DOF here with just that one area in focus.
Ingrid
Picturit: Thank you Ingrid, I really had to get close here, I was fortunate only Ginnie was with me, otherwise I would not have dared
And I always thought dragons spit fire. This one can douse a fire. (Not a spitting image of me
Picturit: I looked in the mirror this morning....what I saw was different too (Thank goodness)
Nice picture. I would have preferred it with a little mor depth of field though (f/8 perhaps?) Maybe that's just me
Picturit: Well Kunle, I do not really know what you mean, MORE DOF, I think this is already the most DOF I could get, there was not much light there, and I don't have a stablelizer in my camera, just steady hands
Top shot Astrid ...
Picturit: Thank you so much, Astrid
Nicely done and hahahaha on your play on words with the title. Clever.
Picturit: It just crossed my mind...
Good DOF
Picturit: Thanks, I am pleased you like it, Astrid
What a clever title.
This is truly a wonderful photograph. I'd put it in the fine art category.
Picturit: Thank you so much for your kind words Ruth, we used to come here with the art class from school, we had to draw this fountain, but it had to be exact
good title - but I am sure not of anyone you know ;o) Depth of field is the key to this good photograph - I would have made the shadows slightly darker perhaps - but then that's just me Mr Gothic ;o)
Picturit: Mr.Gothic, it is not MY spitting image (thank goodness no
Very nice composition Astrid. Very subtle focus and DOF. Your title made me laugh!
Picturit: Yes, a little play with words is always fun to do, even for a not-English-born
LOL, an excellent choice of title and an awesome capture in B&W to go with it!
Picturit: I see, you like a joke too, wher would we be without laughing....
Freaky, and very cool! H.
Picturit: Harry, I like freaky so once in a while.....Astrid
I think this is a wonderful image. Detail just where it is needed. Great stuff. (:o)
Picturit: This creature I had to take in close, I love those dragons, I have been drawing these when I was here with my art teacher from schoo, many.........many years ago(35y), but nothing changed much, Astrid
Great title Astrid and masterful depth of field together with a choice composition. The b&w is perfect for this.
Picturit: Thank you so much for you grand compliment, I do really appreciate it, Astrid.
I think this is the first picture of yours Astrid that is not entirely to my liking. It's the out of focus water stream in the foreground that I don't go for, otherwise it all fits together nicely.
Picturit: Brian, that's okay with me, I only can add, that the water-stream is towards me and it was not possible to have the mouth AND the waterstream in focus..., sometimes I win and sometimes I loose, it would not be good if I only WIN
I absolutely love the focal point as well, and the framing!
Picturit: Thank you so much for your kind words, Astrid
Love the mono treatment. The dof works very well here, congrats !
Picturit: I am pleased you like it Ric, thanks, Astrid
very creative Astrid and great dof,
Picturit: Thanks Tim, well sometimes it is nice to do different, Astrid
Real Gothic feel to this Astrid...get the garlic out and watch your neck
Picturit: My neck is well guarded
Very nice fountain, and beautiful composition made by the angle you chose ... Well done !!!
Picturit: Thank you Ann, I am always climbing on things
Wonderful view on ancient times! Some things remain fascinating no matter what area we live in.
Picturit: You are so right, 35 years ago
Beautiful shot Astrid, so suited to B&W.
Picturit: Thanks Aussie,
A chilling detail of the fountain. In addition in B&W the result is more impressive!
Picturit: You are so right and I am pleased you like it, José-Angel, Astrid
Nice black and white shot you've got there. Liking this one. Hope you didn't get wet trying to get close!
Picturit: I always watch out when it comes to spitting
Very nice composition. Great in BW.
Picturit: Thanks Gishan, I am glad you like it, Astrid.
Great little detail and you've manipulated DoF so well.
Picturit: I just 'helped' it a tiny bit
I'm starting to love B&W even more than color pictures! Love the composition and the title. Nice!
Picturit: Sometimes we have to try it sometimes, I am starting to like it a lot...sometimes even more than color..Astrid.
Very well done once again, a very artistic (even a bit strange result) picture !
Picturit: Yes I know Zeb, but sometimes 'strange' is nice too
Astrid. |
