Good views from up there. These sections of the city look like they are quite old without modern contamination.

Picturit: A big part they restored, the area around the Central Station they tore down in the 70' but this is the 'old inner city' close to where the Dom is situated.

Lovely collage Astrid, you are so good at these. What program do you use, if you don't mind me asking.

Ohhhhhhh. You really ARE erg goed at these collages, lieve vriend! Look at the map as the background! Was that the same map we used to find our way around the other day (when it was DRY!)? You know I love how you do these collages. You're the Queen of them (I don't care WHAT Mike says). HA! I love that I'm getting acquainted with this city and that it's only half an hour away from Amsterdam by train. Thanks again, Astrid, for the memories.

Picturit: Actually I got this map from the internet and cropped it, the Oude Gracht is one of the well known streets/canals in Utrecht, you and I were walking there last Tuesday, we will go back to Utrecht some more, there is still lots to see. I love to go on photo-hunt with you again, it is such a joy, well Tracy showed some 'tourists' with camera problems, they seems to be familiar to me..........Ginnie bedankt voor je lovende woorden, ik heb het graag gedaan, Astrid.

Lovely views from the top of the Dom! I like especially the gracht-Photo and the plattegrond-background!

Picturit: Philine, this was just some experiment, I had those three shots but could not use them fully, so I only picked the best part out of it, these kind of collages only work for one time, thank you for your kind words, nog een prettige dag, Astrid.

Picturit: I know, I should have taken a picture from my map of Utrecht, I never thought about that, than it would have been different, that's why I did have some second thoughts about posting this one, ik wist dat dit niet helemaal 'lekker' zat, maar jij hebt me nu duidelijk gemaakt wat er aan mankeerde, Ginnie vroeg me of ik mijn plattegrond had gebruikt, gewoon stom dat ik dat niet gedaan heb, Robbie bedankt!! ( zo zie je, ik leer er ook elke dag weer wat bij. Thanks Robbie, I now know I am still learning from my mistakes every day!!

Astrid, this is a very well done collage. The images are great and the way you've displayed them on the map, really works--I mean REALLY works. And you know I am not much of a fan of collages, but I am a fan of this one


I think I can help you in dealing with pixelation when using images you take from the web. There are few little tricks I used to show my students. If you are interested, drop me an email.

Great stuff. I think the background map could have been softer or toned down - the photos will stand out the more for it. Just an idea.

Picturit: Louis, the backgound is not super, you are right, there is somthing not really good, but well I've tried, next time I have to pay more attention.
