Looks like a nifty place to live, but where is that two car garage? I like the warm tones.
Picturit: It really nice to live out there....you asked about his garage....the supersonnic scooter is his 'vehicle' LOL
Very nice tones in this, Astrid. Framing it through the grass worked well.
Picturit: Thanks Jewlya for your kind words, it was a lovely (cold day) and the morning sun gave the warm tones.
Love the tones in this shot Astrid, so warman inviting.
His boat sure looks lived in!! Do all his family live on the boat or does he have lots of parties, as he has enough chairs on the deck for a conference. Great shot See you soon 2 to go
Picturit: It really was loaded with all kind of old stuff, I did not dare to come closer for I would have loved to captured that as well LOL
One thing I LOVE about your images, Astrid, is your exquisite sense of composition and coloring...and, yes, your border/framing. Though taken on a cold day, this photo is full of warmth (for all the reasons already mentioned). But the DOF with the grasses is what totally makes this soulful for me. I also like how the bike/scooter is parker there.
Picturit: Dank je Ginnie voor je mooie woorden, I was helped by the morning sun and I just do the crop by instinct and many times when I observe my object I already konw what I do want to do with it....it is a cooter indeed, I would say it is an old 'barrel' in Dutch, in English it would be a heap of old metal..... tot vrijdag....met het ontbijt......( now they liked it if they knew Dutch
The yellow- orange warm toning, the reflections, the boat which looks lived in- all that evoces even a touch of spring- een sfeer vanlente- ein Hauch von Frühling which we all are longing for!
Picturit: Voorjaar met mooie luchten en de bloemen en bomen in 'de knop' dat zal nog even duren, maar deze foto geeft wel een voorjaarsgevoel, dank je wel Philine.
A picture of spy quality through the tall grass. Does your husband know that you are stalking the harbour master
Great picture, composition, etc PS. he has lots of seats on the deck for a party.
Picturit: He knows Louis
I love the frame, the colours and the border of the photo ! Nice subject ...
Picturit: Ann, you might have known by now, I love the water, sea and everything what is floating in it
The way you've framed it so it looks like you are half hidden from your dream of spring and a boat...reminds me of VZ's from yesterday.
Hop on Astrid and take a long ride! Looks like fun.
Picturit: It would Kathryn, but than I like to pick my own crew to do the sailing, you like to join me??? I know some more who I like to invite, that will get some nice pics on SC....thank you for your kind words!
Beautyful composition Astrid. I like the crop and the warm tones here.
Picturit: Thank you Richard for your kind words, the morningsun gave me the warm glow in this picture and I really thank him for that...
Glorious lighting.. love the angle you have taken this from. Great colour.
Picturit: Glae , I am pleased you like it thanks as always.
Oh! Astrid! You I thank for it because somehow you have made me remember my vacations last in the Channel of the French Midi!
P.D.: But, it also waits for... me has remembered this stamp to some of the images of Ginnie!
Picturit: You are so welcome José-Angel, I do too, have great memories of some pics at SC, that's what I like about 'us', these boats are very much used in Holland and since Ginnie is part-time Dutch living in Amsterdam where a lot of these boats are............well and we all know Ginnie is very talented in taking pictures of Dutch life, I am sure sometimes we do have the same subject, each in a different way
Astrid, what gorgeous colour! Infused with a warm glow. (:o)
Picturit: Roz you should have been with me, it was so delightful!! but than I was helped by Mr. Sun himselve
lovely framing Astrid, love the red reflection too

This pic gives me a nice fuzzy warm feeling.
Picturit: I am glad about that Nigel.....it was a very cold day, but I had a warm feeling too capturing these pictures
I like the way you have pictured this through the grass, it is almost voyeuristic!
Picturit: I know, but isn't that nice so once in a while....but I think I did no harm, everybody was inside
