Terrific capture, Astrid! I saw on FB about the storm. Little did you know you were being storm chasers!
Picturit: Thank you, Elizabeth. I was leaning against the car otherwise I was blown away... LOVED IT. I do respect the wind very much however I love to feel of the force and be reminded of how 'tiny' we are. More on this subject next week.

J'aime beaucoup le mouvement des vagues.
Picturit: It was really bad that day, but fun to be outside.
Astrid.
We had the surprise of our lives that day, didn't we. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE your signature here!
Picturit: Thank you, Ginnie. You know that is the challenge I have and man alive we were lucky to experience the weather together with Nelson smile

This is a very fine picture, Astrid - I was surprised you could hold your camera still!
Picturit: It was hard to focus too... and I had the wipe clean the lens a few times.
Thank you, Lisl.
Astrid.
Wouah , vraiment superbe !!
Joli coup de vent
Picturit: Don't you just love it grin.

This looks dangerous Astrid. But I'm sure the barge operators know what they are doing, apart from making money..
Picturit: It looked quite dangerous to me too. I think they have been in rough waters before and yes time is money for these men...

Oh, quite a storm - yes, I remember well this day - hundreds of trees fell down. I had the same feeling as you described in your reply on Elizabeth's comment!
Picturit: I never underestimate wind... we had a lot of damage in the country.
Astrid.
The Astrid ploughs through undaunted
Picturit: I learned how to 'swim' a long time ago grin...
Astrid.
Wat een mooie ruige riviergezicht....heel mooi
Picturit: Ik ga vaak bij de Merwede kijken. Wij wonen in Gorinchem. Het verveelt nooit.
Dank je wel, Marjolein.

Crikey, what a fabulous picture Astrid. It looks as if it was struggling to make good progress in the teeth of this storm. As a picture, I like the echoes - the long row of buildings against the long boat, and the steam coming from a chimney reflecting the spray of water on the bow of the shipboat.
Picturit: Thank you, Chad. This is so much fun to try to take some pictures and show the force. I was leaning against the car and did not dare to move...
Astrid.
It looks like the end of the wharf is being ripped away here. Awesome capture.
Picturit: It survived however it is visible that the water is 'outside' the river and is already flooding the grounds next to the river. It is designed to do so.
Astrid.
That looks quite rough for inland water, but that helps to make a great image.
Picturit: It is a challenge to try to take a picture and show the force. I just love these moments.
Astrid.
I would absolutely not be there above. Beautiful shot. Chapeau
Picturit: Oh no, it is more wise to stay sheltered or even stay inside. However it is a challenge to try to capture 'force'... Thank you, Claudio.
Astrid.
that barge is not having a good day Astrid... good Boat Friday....petersmile
Picturit: It is struggling to be in time in Rotterdam.... thank you, Peter.
Astrid.
(singssmile Stormy weather...
Picturit: Ha I will sing along with you, Larry grin...

The waters are putting on a show!
Picturit: Absolutely and the waters do as they wish... the wind had a hayday that day smile
Astrid.
there is quite suggestion of power in this shot, Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you, Ayush, that is what I wanted. That storm was real...

Picturit: That about sums it up, Cherry grin.
Astrid.
Wow! Oh my gosh...your signature! PERFECTION!
Picturit: Thank you, Robin. Thank you for your kind words. Yes I was able to keep my chin above water wink... This is so much fun grin.
Astrid.
