photoblog image .....locked up.......

.....locked up.......

This bee was locked up, inside St. Michael's Church, Castle Frome..... I do hope he found his way out.

In case you missed it, I was a guest writer at Vision & Verb, yesterday.

I do hope there were flowers in the church for this bee
Picturit: Bill just told me that it is a wasp.... and no flowers in the church sad
Thanks Brian.
Astrid.
I am sure that the busy little bee will find his way out Astrid... it's a great shot... reminds me of a kid sitting at the window waiting for the rain to stop... i loved your V&V .... mostly your hen house lol....petersmile
Picturit: Thank you for commenting on the V&V. I need windows to look out. I am lucky that at work I can look outside, not that I have time to do so, but it is the thought that counts.
Astrid.
Poor little bee - but it makes for a wonderful shot! Very nice Astrid!
Picturit: Bill just told me it is a wasp..... it will have found its way out.

The things you saw that day...still surprise me!!! smile
Picturit: I was just in awe of the nice window, when I saw this little fella....
Thank you.
Astrid.
That's no bee...it is a WASP!!!
Picturit: OOPS, sorry.... wrong translation.... grin.....
Thank you Bill, I can say you are awake wink
Astrid.
The poor wee thing, we get them trapped inside as we have a permanent bee colony in a disused chimney.
Picturit: Do you make honey as well??
I have a colleague and her husband keeps bees. I love the stories she tell about it.

Bees often get trapped in Churches. I watched about 50 or so once, most of them dying and being anxiously attended by the others, who seemed to be giving them comfort
Picturit: There were a few dead on the ground, so I hope this one made it....

To bee or not to bee. Sounds better than: to wasp or not to wasp.

Nice shot with a promise of blue for the trapped ... wasp.
Picturit: smile Thanks Louis, I did not want to touch it and set it free.... you never know what it will do. Better safe than sorry.

She-ll find her way out.

I did not miss your excellent essay on V&V, Astrid, and would recommend it to everyone.
Picturit: Thank you for your kind words. Colleagues can be great or not that great. At the end we have to work with them, if we like it or not...
Astrid.
Wonderful shot Astrid, love the colour coming through the glass and your crop, very effective! smile
Picturit: Thank you. It was kind of an impulse to take the shot... the crop made it better.
Astrid.
Yes definitely a Wasp, I would probably have swatted it with something, I hate them!
Picturit: WOW..... you made me smile Brian, I see you as the most gentle person.... swatted it.... tongue....
When they bother you, never swat, but blow in their face, they hate draft or wind....

nice catch.. i'm a sap for these li'l creatures.. i'd go out of my way to set them free.. i guess i should've been a veterinarian.. grin
Picturit: grin.... I never harm these animals too, they are here for a purpose. I had nothing with me to catch it and set it free..
I hope he escaped.
Astrid.
Hi there! Read your guestblog smile I work in film and telly, and also mostly with men. When I'm working as a fashion photographer I'm surrounded by a team of girls. It does make a huge difference doesn't it! The girls like to talk, the boys are more into practical jokes... I think I'm very happy to be working in both telly and photography, I'm a freelancer so I'm my own boss and I get to pick my own team, I always end up with people I like. (and if I don't like them I don't work with them again, simple as that) Glad to read she isn't getting to you anymore! I hope the wasp/bee-thingie found its way out!

Picturit: I hope so, you are right about the bees.
Astrid.
