The detail of how the moisture collected at the joints (and will start to drip from there when the sun comes out in a few hours) is just amazing. What a wonderful capture Astrid! You can be very proud of this shot smile

Hope you are having a GREAT day!
Picturit: smile when this showed on the computer I was pleased with myself..oops...yes I was grin in the fog it is so diffucult to get a good 'lighting' so I had to move around and around and find the right angle.
Thanks Donica.

Now I'm wondering about the spider and where she went when she found out Mother Earth was freezing her handiwork. Or did she spin this on purpose, knowing there would be magic wrought for you to capture and show to us! This is a Likey for me, Astrid. It takes all the meandering ways of a life and makes sense out of it. Sometimes all Life is is a canvas of art for us to appreciate and accept for what it is...especially when nothing else can be made of it!
Picturit: I am sure the spider found a place to hide......a spider web is one of those wonders to me, so many paths to take, we have so many options to choose from, sometimes we have to follow our own instinct and accept what lies on our path...
Our path is like the fog....closeby it is clear and in the distance it is a quess......
Dank je wel dat je dit een likey vind.

Really good macro shot, like the fact the web hasn't collapsed under the weight of the ice.
Personally, I would have cropped out the left side (is it a drainpipe?) to leave just the web, but that's just my preference.
Picturit: Thank you John, welcome back....I have tried to corp the picture and show only the web.....for me the web had 'to hold on to something' like we all have to do sometimes, even if that might be the believe we have in ourselves.....
The web would have been 'floating in mid-air', maybe a great shot, but not what I wanted...
Thanks for visiting again.
Astrid.
Never seen this before, excellent shot.
Picturit: Thanks Nigel, it was all my pleasure to be out there and see it in real life.

This Astrid is a jewel to the eye, a great capture by a great photographer and I know you will not agree as you are not modest enoughgrin
My first thought was the same as Ginnie's about the spider, hopefully tucked up somewhere warmsmile
This is one hell of a picture Musketeer.smile
We have fog today, thanks for sending it overtonguetongue

Picturit: I ended the day good....it is way over bedtime...gringrin, I had to send some e-mails....winkThank you as always for your kind words, yes I was pleased with myself with this heck of a great picture, but you never heard me say that gringrin.
Some rain and sun today....
Astrid.
This is charming Astrid: the light on the wseb is lovely

I nearly called you Astroid!
Picturit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astroid
You can call me anything....I would not mind being an 'Astroid'.....look at that fine shape...I love maths....love to 'design' these things... a smile on my face...thanks....
Thank you so much for your kind words....as always and for the smile.
Astrid
A great find and a wonderful photo; well done!
Picturit: Wim this was next to the orchard were I picked apples, I knew there was a gate, just by accident I passed it and saw they were frozen solid.
To get the lighting good was difficult.
It turned out rather well.
Astrid.
Magical Astrid. This is just magical
Picturit: Bill, I thought the same, even with not a real lighting it was shining in the fog.

Looks like a precious necklace hanging from the fence. Just hope the spider didn't get frozen in there!
Ingrid
Picturit: The spider was nice and warm in front of the fireplace.....I would have done the same if I had such a housing....
It was like a necklace....there were so many, it was beautiful to be there.

Absolutely stunning. I can't believe the thickness of the web with the ice; I'm surprised its stayed intact.

This morning I was in the polder again, there was fog but it was beautiful, running is good for body and spirit.
Thank you so much Aussie....it means a lot to me...write to you soon.

...like frozen dreams waiting for a warm breath to set them free...
Picturit: ....yes Viktor...I think there is nothing wrong to hold on to dreams...maybe one day, dreams come true.......
You have a wonderful way of saying things, thank you.
Astrid
Marvelous shot. Well done.
This is a wonderful series, Astrid, but this one is my favorite ..... so far. I have never seen a cobweb frozen like this. Amazing! (:o)
Picturit: There were many frozen webs on the iron gate, maybe of the iron, they were frozen solid....
Astrid.
SUPERB !!! Good see, Astrid.
i'm giving you the second likey for the day astrid smile
Picturit: Thank you so much Dr.A.W.....smile
Astrid
They get even better, Astrid. Connections and networks are the stuff of live. Friendships are like this.
Picturit: Chad it is......we need our friends, we need the connection, we need the stay in touch.....we need each other, we might not have the solution, but we can be the shoulder to lean on.
Thank you for being a friend.
Astrid.
Excellent capture Astrid. A piece of jewelry! Well spotted.
Lovely detailed close-up Astrid, it has that feeling of the cold you must have been experiencing at the time.
To see this in real life is so so lucky and then to get a great image of it ....mmmmmmm. richard
Picturit: mmmmmmmmmm....I thought the same...I was pleased with my self....
Thank you.
