photoblog image .....my inner rest.....

.....my inner rest.....

…..strange.....  this kind of weather gives me peace of mind

it slows me down and lets me enjoy the moment

I hope that you have a place like that too....

These coming 2 weeks I post my impressions what can be seen on a freezing foggy day in my so beloved polder.

.....4 hours after taking pictures, the sky was blue and sun was out.....

Astrid I love this! I really like the shots you take in the early morning fog. So mysterious and a bit earie.

I know what you mean about this weather. Now that the clocks have changed and gets dark early, coats and hats have been unpacked from Summer storage, it's time to slow down and enjoy the moments of life.
Picturit: Thanks Affi, it was all my pleasure to be here, time slows down in autumn to prepare for the 'sleep' in Winter....erm...well some have to work though, this was just as a matter of speech.
I am pleased you like this one.

Astrid- I really like these foggy shots. You have captured the mood and I can understand why you like to take your run here in the morning fog. It has an eerie, yet peaceful feeling to me. I look forward to seeing the others shots you will share these 2 weeks. Thanks!
Picturit: Maybe one time you will be able to see it yourself, we are lucky to have these kind of places in this hectic world. I have to admit maybe only few have eye for this.
Some may only see the wet, the mud, the 'nothing out there', fine with me....
than I know it stays like this......peaceful....
Astrid
This is a beautifully composed still & charming picture Astrid
Picturit: Thank you Chris, after capturing this picture I just watched the beauty an stayed a little longer.

I know how you feel Astrid just having that peaceful place to reflect on whats happening in life/the world.
I know this is your favorite place and I can see whysmile
You have captured a great stillness and even ghostly feel to this shot.
You really enjoyed taking these shots I know.Even if you did have to have the car washed aftergrin
Happy hunting Musketeersmile
Picturit: smile You know me too well..wink I love this place, I sometimes joke around to say this is cheaper than seeing the doctor, the good thing is that I laughed about my stupid action, try to turn in the grass/mud, the moment I did it I knew....wrong and you are in trouble tonguetongue
I did not catch anything yet, will try again in one hour....sad

You're spoiling us with these, Astrid. I do like how the avneue of the trees and the stream fade away into the distance.
Picturit: Your words do mean a lot to me....it is my pleasure to spoil you...it is a wonderful place to be.
Thanks Alan, as always.
Astrid.
There is a big difference between a quiet foggy morning and the dull grey weather we have at the moment. With the fog it will lift and the sun will shine. The grey day just fades into night. This picture is so peaceful. I can picture you there.
Picturit: This is a peaceful place, a place to be in good times and bad times and come home refreshed.
Thanks Bill as always.

Wonderful Astrid - wish I had taken this one. We have fog here today so you might just have inspired me to go out and try. Not many interesting features to relieve the gloom though. ;o)
Picturit: This is the biggest compliment you could ever give me, thank you.
The fog today here is even worse than last week, I came along the canal, the ships really are 'ghost-riders' might try to capture it.
Hope you are lucky with your 'photo-hunt' today. wink

Truly beautiful, Astrid. I love the contrast of the sharpness of the trunks and leaves in the foreground with the misty background. The gates looming out of the mist are perfectly positioned.
Ingrid
Picturit: Thank you Ingrid, it is just a coincidence that we both have pictures of Autumn, it is nice to see the difference in approach, I hope we have some sunny days to come yet though.

I totally agree with Mike...I would be proud if this were MY photo, Astrid! I can hear the stillness of your polder. I can feel it. I know why it is better than any therapist in the world. It heals what ails you. It's a balm for the soul. It's where Peace lives...and Sophia.
Picturit: True words, Ginnie, being out here is much better than any medicin in the world, you have been here, you know the feeling, you know why I love to be out here in good times and in bad times.....Sophia knows it en dat weten wij.

I feel cool air in my nostrils, lungs pulsating with the clean vapours of country fresh life.

I'm strolling through this gorgeous scene, revelling in the peaceful solitude, and glad to be alive.

Simply, mind blowingly, fantastic, Astrid. Eleven out of ten smile
Picturit: Paul, you make me blush, but I am very happy with your dear words, I know that you would love to be in this scene, it is too bad we cannot order this kind of weather, otherwise I would invite the ones that would like to come...we would be in heaven.......the polder that is smilesmile
Astrid.
I love these two photos: simplicity!
Good see, Astrid.

I took love the fog. This is perfectly captured - I can feel the wetness on my skin and smell the fresh, damp air. I love this one!!
Picturit: You make me smile, this is why I like the fog too, I came home after being out by bike...it looked as if I had taken a shower with my clothes on.....
I love it too.

Beautiful, to see things almost growing out of the mist.

The mono is a good choice.
Picturit: I know what you mean, mist to me is something magic, I love it, I was today at the canal, the fog was heavy...the spooky shapes of the boats...wonderful,
thanks Ellie.
Astrid.
This is simply very nice
Picturit: Thanks Nigel.
Astrid
Absolutely charming.
Picturit: Thank you so much for your kind words.
Astrid
