This one is for Tracy/Lurch for being in my time-zone, welcome!!!
This picture is taken on top of the Dom in Utrecht, we were taking pictures there and we thought of Tracy/Lurch http://lurch.shutterchance.com/ she is visiting Ginnie in Amsterdam and I joined them yesterday, I am writing this on thursday evening, so I don't know yet that I had a great time with Ginnie, Tracy and Scarlet.......as you know Tracy is afraid of hights, I made sure that when she will see this one, she will be alright, but I will post some more pics taken from the Dom in Utrecht and she might get dizzy http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dom_van_Utrecht

Oh my!. Fabulous photo! I am going to the Wiki article.
Picturit: Thanks Mary that you are so excited, there is an English version too.
O, I like this view on the top of the Dom in Utrecht, especially the architectural details, the weatherbeaten sandstone, the "spitsbogen"... I remember my former "climbs- ups" to the top of the Dome in Cologne... But you tree are "bad girls" indeed, poor Tracy! ;-)
Picturit: Philine we are 'bad' but really harmless, we hebben alle drie een gouden hart, dat is wel gebleken tijdens onze brieven naar elkaar, we kenden elkaar in schrift en foto maar elkaar zien en spreken...vrienden voor het leven, dat is heel speciaal!!!
WE HAD SO MUCH FUN knowing we would "make fun" of Tracy's fear of heights, didn't we!! We make good partners in crime!
I'm very glad we did not know what photos each other would show today. What a nice surprise to see this view from while you were crouching down. I actually took a photo of you taking this picture!
Picturit: Partners in crime
OOPS! I just realized I still had Tracy added on and now she's gone! Sigh. Oh well, we still have the memory of the "hoo-ha girls," don't we!
Picturit: I still have the smile on my face.....
Oh I like the stone here Astrid. Poor Tracy
Picturit: I am very pleased you like this one, well I kind of made sure she would not feel dizzy, het was leuk om jou te ontmoeten, goed weekend!
Gorgeous Astrid love the old stone work. I can tell you all had fun. I'm hoping I can catch up with Ginnie while she is in Aus in April. Problem is I'm heading to China so it might not happen.
Picturit: Aussie, yes I heard and I do hope you will be able to meet, you will really enjoy them!! the are two wonderful people. I am pleasde you like tis picture, have a nice day!
Oh, this is beautiful! Gorgeous structure. Cute what you and Ginnie did to "scare" Tracy.
Picturit: We just thought of it when we climbed all those steps, ti was poring rain and the wind was really blowing so we kind of made the disiscion to post a view from the Dom...I am pleased you like it, Ginnie's one is just super....
Again MY FRIEND I am very honoured with your thoughtful tribute
Love your shot the textured stone is beautiful and the view is spectacular. It's a good job I have friends who would go to the top and show me the veiw from up thereor I would have missed it so thank you Yes we are the hoo-ha-girls
Picturit: Yes indeed my friend!! Home safe I see, Tracy it was too short but I really really enjoyed every second of it, with times like this I am happy to speak and understand the language!! yep I know...fist think and than talk.....intersting thought
BTW I am glad you liked my solution to not get you dizzy...
Dizzy stuff Astrid!
Picturit: Hope you are not feeling dizzzzzzyyyyyy after this one
Great shot again Astrid. I see two perspectives in it. The one to the city through the ach, and the other one, the arches themselves. Well done
Picturit: Thank you for your kind words, I had to really think about this one, because of the 2 perspectives, I think it turned out good for me.
I read your comments on ginnie's pic lol, I'm not afraid of heights, but I don't think I would want to be up here in a strong wind. 10 out of 10 for bravery ;o)
Picturit: Mike for me is only one story; the higher the better
Fantastic view Astrid and a wonderful capture
Picturit: I would have hold your hand!! in a few days I will post soem real hights shots!!thanks fot your kind words
nice compositon.good picture
Picturit: Thanks Gishan, it was so fun
Now this looks better...I'd be crouching too! Glad you all had fun
Picturit: Wait and see I was over the railing too
Great shot, Astrid! Perfect way to frame the distant view. (:o)
Picturit: Thanks Roz, it was so nice but WINDY, but I have 'over the railing pictures too' in a few days.
Beautiful shot. How high can Tracy go? Does she have to stay firmly planted on the ground?
Picturit: With us she can reach sky high, we just hold her hand
You were quite safe behind the railing.
Still, a lot of steps to take to get to the top!
Picturit: Yes a lot of steps, but I am in shape and a none smoker
I will have some 'over the railng shots too' in a few days...
Over the railing shots? Yikes. I am like Tracy, not so keen on heights Not sure if I should look at your next images
Picturit: We had a ball, I was a great day and we have to come back when there will be no rain and wind.....will that ever happen in Holland...
Very nice photo.
Excellent DOF. Bravo. Yvon.
Picturit: Thank you for your kind words Yvon, have a nice day!
Poor Tracy - I can sympathise with her. I hope you all had a great time. Nice view.
Ingrid
Picturit: Ingrid we had the most great fun, I haven't laughed so much in a long time
