What a clever photographer you are Astrid. I hope you don't ever get lost when you're out running in all this fog!
Picturit: Chris, in the fog I am almost as a lighted Chrismas tree, bright color clothes and blinking lights, I know my way around in my polder, this for me is the most heavenly place to be, the quiet, the wide space, the fresh air, the....everything....Every day is different, in one hour I will go again, the sun is rising....for me the most perfect start of the day.....
Chris, thank you so much for your kind words, most appreciated. Astrid.
Yep. no words are needed... to wander in a dream world, or to walk through the gates without a fence...
I'm enjoying this series very much, Astrid.
Picturit: Yep, indeed, sometimes pictures say more than words can, just wandering off in a dreamy world...., I am pleased you like it Viktor.
Astrid.
Very nice clean composition.
Picturit: Thank you Martin, as always.
Asatrid.
Nice one Astrid, lovely composition
Picturit: Thanks Aussie, the fog gave me some nice pictures to capture.
Astrid

Across the bridge...where angels dwell. Lovely.
Picturit: Yes Mary, you are so right, that was my thought when I saw this picture in the fog, across the bridge.........
Astrid
Beautiful.
Picturit: Thank you Kay, this is a beautiful place to be, all year round.
Astrid.
What a lovely composition Astrid. Great framing!
Picturit: Thanks Richard, I am lucky to live close to this place, with fog it is a different world...I also love.
Astrid
Perversley ... It makes me wish for more foggy days. richard

Astrid.
Becoming very minimal, astrid.
Picturit: Yes I know, but tomorrow I have some 'more' to show
have a nice day, Chad. Astrid.
Excellent and I especially like the gate without a fence - so typical dutch. Composition is excellent as well. Going to likeys
Picturit: This is indeed so typical Dutch and I never get bored by looking at it, when I am out here I feel so much alive, I know I am a lucky lady to be able to live here
Thank you for your kind words, I am pleased you like it. Astrid.
HA HA looks like some tree has had a bad hair day
Joking apart Astrid, this shot is so inviting, and full of mystery. Great atmosphere and composition mijn vreind
Picturit: Yes they look like a bunch of punkers who had an electric shock...they will be cut in a few days though.....thanks for your kind words.....mijn vriend.
Astrid.
Ja, de gedachten en de gevoelen wandelen langs.. en over... heen en daarenboven...
Picturit: Philine, dank je wel voor de woorden die ik niet kon vinden, maar soms hoeven we helemaal niets te zeggen...het is goed zo......
Astrid.
Your love for your countryside shines through in your pictures Astrid. This is a beautiful one.
Ingrid
Picturit: Thank you Ingrid, for your kind words, yes I am always enjoying myself, when I walk, run, ride my bike through this part of Holland where I live, everyday it is different, never get bored by it, I cannot wait to see the fresh green leaves will come, some are still showing, when I am in this surrounding I feel so much alive.....you noticed good, I just love it......
Astrid.
A powerful symbolic image, Astrid.
Picturit: Thanks Katrhyn, it is, no words needed here....
Astrid.
Brilliant again!
Picturit: Thanks a lot Steve, glad you like it..
Astrid.
I love the processing on this one. The mystic feeling it has
Picturit: Fog to me is always mystic, well we don't live that far apart so you know, fog in the polder is nice....Thanks Chantal
Astrid
Astrid I agree with Chris you have lots of talent, well done
Picturit: Thank you for you kind compliment, I like to do a lot of things, love to experiment and find new chalanges...
Astrid.
Everything is so dark it is almost in silhouette and I like it. The fog gives it a great mood. It's a good one, Astrid.
Picturit: Laura thank you so much for your kind words, fog gives some extra to the picture.
Astrid.
good shot, great processing !!
Picturit: Thanks Petra, I am glad you like it.
Astrid.
Tree sentinels look a little fierce like Uncles of Edward Scissorhands.
But, the gate on the bride is open and welcoming... Hmmmm! Perhaps a fiendish trap...is there a troll lurking under the bridge...eyes large as dinnerplates. and great boar's tusks...
Picturit: Ray, when I am out here I always have to make sure I don't make a sound, that will disturb the trolls, the story goes round that Farmer Jan, the son of Piet, was never seen after he, by accident sneezed when he was out there.......
Thank Ray for visiting, Astrid.
Very nice and well balanced picture. Nice composition. But I wonder... why did you proces the left and right down corners? In my opinion this picture doesn't need it.
Picturit: You are right it was not needed, but I kind of liked it.
Sometimes I do things that might not be needed, I am still learning, but that thank you for your kind words. Astrid.
Great shot Astrid, it took my breath away as soon as I saw it, and I love the vignette. Good work.
Picturit: Brian thank you for your compliment, most appreciated.
Astrid.
Lovely shot of the fog. I like the angle and framing.
Picturit: I am pleased you like it Jewlya,
Astrid,
I do love the simplicity of composition. Sweet.
Picturit: Thank you Ruth, sometimes the simple things are the best and pictures do tell more than words ever can say.
Astrid.
This is the best one so far...this is the one I would love to have taken.
Een mooie foto. Zo het eenvoudige nog zo dwingen
Picturit: Bill, you have no idea how much I appreciate your Dutch, that means a lot to me, thank you for your compliment.
Astrid
The simplicity certainly works for me.
Picturit: Thanks Nigel, sometimes we only need the simple things in life.
Astrid.
Like this a lot Astrid, but not sure about the vignetting on the left hand edge. Think it would be even stronger if it was cropped that side just a bit. Everyone else seems to like it as is so please feel free to totally ignore the above ;o)
Picturit: No Mike I will not ignore it, I have to admit, I needed the picture this morning, I printed it....I remade it without the vignetting, so that give you your answer, but sometimes I do to much.....
Thank you for your kind words and I really appreciate when you tell me things like this, I will learn from it. Astrid.
white vignette ( is it?) is unusual...but once more, uve captured the sense of desolation really well...
Picturit: I know PhotoSam, I could have done with out it, but thank you so much for your kind words.
Astrid
Very nice shot Astrid. It looks so calm...
Picturit: Thank you Noa, normaly when we have fog it is like this, almost magic.
Astrid.

Picturit: Thanks Tim, this is already 2mo (love these things) I am pleased you like it.
Astrid
Beautiful.
Picturit: Thanks Bridge, and thanks for visiting.
Astrid.
No words needed indeed - this is a magnificent picture Astrid. The detail, the composition are superb and the mono just perfect. I like the vignetting too.
Picturit: Ellie, thank you so much for your compliment, this was the perfect setting to me, I am on this road so many times, but I still see the beaty of Mother Nature, I thinks that makes me a lucky person
Astrid.
Indead no words needed, just a great photo! Nice dept and DoF in it! And the contrast you have used having also a great effect on the photo!
Really beautiful composition and tones. a bridge to a dreamy world... I love it!
