lol on "hope the neighbor's cat is sleeping" looks like you're an early riser. you know what they say about early riser, they get the egg
Picturit: LOL...never heard that one before, I am an early riser....and I love eggs....but litle birds I let fly....
Astrid.
A really nice pic, Astrid; you've captured the speckled texture very well.
Picturit: Thanks Larry for your kind words.
Astrid.
Nice one, Astrid.
Proves you don't need to travel far to find the stuff of an adventure. You have presented this really well.
Picturit: Ray it may sound that I have a huge back yard, but it might be small in size, I do always find something in it to capture, you are so right.
Astrid.
I love the green and texture. the egg is a bonus.
Picturit: I was so delighted when i saw the eggshell, now the bird is all over my yard...without the cat!!
Astrid.
Nice shot: I like your title very much Astrid
Picturit: Thank you so much Chris.
I hate to tell you, we have summer here. Astrid.
Nice picture here Astrid
Picturit: Thank you so much Suby & Sinen,
Have a great day. Astrid.
Wonderful details and depth of field, Astrid. I love how close you are to this egg. I hope the little bird is safe with parents right now.
Picturit: It is safe and flies like an eagle...erm...well almost.....it sometimes needs its parachute, but the cat is gone...
Astrid.
Astrid.
This is rich! Like the greens and texture of the shell.
Picturit: Thanks Nigel, this was fun to take, with my face in the grass
Astrid.
I was puzzling over this for a while, thinking it was a mushroom, until I read your intro! Great colours and textures.
Ingrid
Picturit:
Thanks. Astrid.
Is it an egg, Astrid 2000? The tension here is unbearable. I shall have to turn my attention to cafe (with a thingy over the e) or should I say coughie. Goedemorgen und en prettige tag.
Picturit: This is only half an egg, but don't ask me if it is the top or the bottom, Chad on top of a laptop in the UK somewhere next to a road.....
You can say whatever you like, as long as it comes into a kopje and listens to the name of KOFFIE.... Astrid....or is it Ingrid....see what you do to me???
Great capture of colour and texture.love the title
Picturit: Thanks Vintage, this is the time of year for NEW LIFE,
Astrid.
Lovely shot of nature Astrid. These things happen every day. You have an eagle eye, so cat watch out
Nice capture mijn vriend
Picturit: The cat knows me and makes way when I come into the yard....wonder why
Thank you for your kind words, see you tomorrow. Astrid.
I can just see you bending down with your camera for this one, Astrid, holding your camera down almost on the ground, pointing at this egg. You do these shots to perfection. I wonder what ground creature you were in your past life??
Picturit:
Astrid
Very nice indeed, this picture is a real story teller.
Picturit: Yes, just this half egg tells a lot, I see the little bird in our yard, the cat is gone....
Astrid.
Superb capture Astrid. I love the colours and the texture!
Picturit: Thanks, these are nice eggshells, so small and delicate, I have kept it...will see how long it last.
Astrid.
Hope the little bird is okay. I like the sense of having found a secret hidden in the grass.
Picturit: The bird is still flying around....and the cat....not seen in miles....it was like a little secret, thank you for your kind words.
Astrid.
A super title for a fabulous photograph.
Marvellous composition and colour.
Picturit: Paul, I am very pleased with your kind words, thank you so much.
Astrid.
Nice shot, great point of view used on this one!
Picturit: Thanks, I was flat on the grass....
I had to get that one in focus. Astrid.
Another picture I would walk by Astrid, very well done. It slightly falls into the concept of Ingrid's recent college set.
Picturit: Brian, these are so close by here...I was on a bike ride and saw some eggshells...but only white ones, love the coloured ones.
Thank you with the compliment, I am a BIG fan of Ingrid, she is so good. Astrid.
Great image and dof Astrid... Is that the mark of Zorro on it ;-)
richard
Picturit: Yes you might be right there....it is a blackbird....and Zorro is black too
Thank you for your kind words. Astrid.
OOOOOh lots of contrast and sharpness. Lovely
Picturit: Thanks Bill, it was fun to do it....
Astrid.

Picturit: Tim you really know how to finish my day off very well, THANKS,
Astrid
Lovely capture Astrid.
Picturit: Thanks Aussie, it was fun to capture.
Astrid.
Great find ... and another perfect title. Wow !
Picturit: Thank you so much, I am pleased you like it.
Astrid
Astrid, I've come back and forth to this image since you posted it. There are so many beautiful things I like about it---the grass in the foreground which fades into a whirling blur. And the beautiful details of the pale blue egg.
But there is something that has been bugging me about the picture too. This morning, I think I hit upon it. The egg shell. new life, is something that is generally fragile and frail, but it dominates the frame here and, for me, the sense of fragility is minimized. I wonder if you have taken any other shots of your precious egg, in which the egg's details are still there, but the egg is not so prominent.
Picturit: I know what you mean, I have the eggshell though, so I might try another shot at it and see if I can get what you mean, I will let you know when something comes up right.
I am honoured that you kept thinking about it. Astrid.
This one speaks to my heart, Astrid. Maybe, because it's an intimate conversation with nature. Maybe, because I take shots like this one myself. The in-your-face composition is okay, but the overall photograph could benefit, if you play a bit more with the location of the egg within the frame.
Sorry, I'm late with my comment.
Picturit: Viktor never apologize, we all have some busy days every once in awhile, thank you for your compliment, I think I know what you mean, I will take notice next time I will do a picture like this again.
have a great afternoon/evening. Astrid.
wow...a super shot and perfectly shot...you have also been getting dirty lately!
Picturit:
Astrid.
beautiful texture.. and very observant too.. i'm thinking you shot this belly flat..
Picturit: I was indeed belly flat onto the grass!!!!
Thank you for your compliment. Astrid.
It is a very cool shot. I love the composition.
Picturit: Thanks Michael, it was fun to take..belly flat in the gras.
Astrid.
"Blackbird singing in the dead of night; Spread your wings and learn to fly; Blackbird, flyyyy." Part of an old Beatles song, one of my favourites! Great shot, love the detail on the egg.
Picturit: I am stunned......it is a song of the 'white album' of the Beatles, it is one of my favourites one too, thank you so much for visiting my blog,
Have a nice day.... Astrid.
Aahh, yes, whenever I see the blackbirds in my garden, that song immediately comes into my head, can't help it...
Picturit: Yes it is the same with me, thank you Smits, for you kind words.
