Astrid...I want to be nice to you and say positive things about this picture - BUT I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS!
Picturit: It took 6 comments to wait for the right answer, it is part of my bike, the handle bars with a cat eye bike computer.....
I was taken a bike ride yesterday and looked for the average speed...looked at my cat eye...the rest is history... ....and Chris thanks for wanting to be nice to me, I apprecitate that very much Astrid.
LOL on Chris. Go Astrid, tell us what this is
Picturit: Handle bars of my bike with the cat eye bike computer...LOL...
Thanks Maria. Astrid.
How do you know Chad isn't around. He is very sneaky. Most likely he is hiding in plain sight where you aren't looking!
Picturit: You are so right here, he might be laying on the road somewere, I might be long passed him and will think.....was that Chad??......NAH!!...not possible...but than....it might have been him all the way...
Astrid
I don't know what this is either, Astrid, and what's funny about that is I was probably standing right next to you when you took it. HA! BUT you thought of Chad, and that will certainly make him feel chipper today...and probably never want to leave that blankity-blank road!
I love how shiny the shiny parts are.
Picturit: LOL...I know what you mean..no I took this one yesterday when you were sleeping
I hope I can speed up Chad.....but than...I think he does it his own SLOW way.... Astrid
I'm sure my cat is happy she doesn't have "eyes" like this!
Picturit: I think the must be some happy cat than...I don't think likes the speed as well
Astrid.
Great please tell what it is.there no white line.lol
Picturit: No white line....there are even two white lines.....LOL..it are the handle bars on my bike with the bike computer.
Astrid.
Looks like you or a friend is seriously into cycling, Astrid.
I took up the sport of professional Road Racing at the age of about 48 (after getting bored standing beside the road watching my Son whooosh past every 30 minutes or so) ...timetrial extension bars, and Cateye cycle computers...strange technology of an exhilarating sport! Great picture, too!
Picturit: Very BIG smile here, I almost said...Ray I can kiss you...(you never saw this), you are the first to see what this is, yes this is my bike, I used to do triathlons when I was 20 years younger, I keep this bike and myself into good shape, I am happy to know that your son is as sportive as his dad
Yesterday it was very hot in Holland so I took a bike ride iso a run, when I was looking the average speed, my eye saw the cateye-computer....the rest is history. Have a great day Astrid.
Nice and original shot Astrid. Ray has a great cat eye!
Picturit: You can say that again, he sees it all...
Astrid.
I have just rushed over from Chad's site to see what all the excitement is.
I'd like to claim I would have known what this is, but I would be lying! My wife rides a bike, has done for years. Used to have a child seat on the back when the kids were little. I have an exercise bike....might get round to using it one day
Picturit: I know the bike will love it that you take it for a ride...it needs fresh air every once in a while...I had Jeroen, see monday, in the child seat at the back of my 'city-bike' we have seen a lot of the neighbourhood when he was small, now he goes by car and I by bike...
Astrid
Fancy having a Chad on your handle bars
Picturit: When I am riding and Chad will be on my handle bars, it would scare the sh...out of him, have you ever seen what kind of slowpoke he is, it took him 2 MONTHS to cover ONE mile of road.......I might be able to have rounded the globe at least ONCE.....oh and Nigel, I am modest by heart...
Astrid.
Good Morning Astrid. Nice range of tones in the photograph and a nice detail of your bike. Mine is standing in the garage feeling a little dejected - probably needs its tyres pumping up ;o)
I see Astrid Enterprises has branched out into manufacturing brake cables - excellent strategy ;o)
Picturit: Good Morning Mike, thank you so much for your kind words, I know for sure that your bike loves it when you take it into the fresh air again.....and Mike, take your camera with you, you never know what you might 'run into' I saw a strange man, flat belly on the road, taking pictures of cat-eyes that were put in the middle of the road, lucky he had that helmet with the blinking light on his head.....
I am expending business....I might even go into street signs one day Astrid
Awesome shot Astrid you do these well.
Yes I knew what it was but was out to early to comment. Just returned from work!!!! Great idea mijn vriend. Speak/see very soon
Picturit:
See you soon my friend. Astrid.
Bike of competition, WHAOUUUU I hope to see you in Olympic Games.Nice shot.
Picturit: Thanks, the Olympics I will watch from my chair and let them do the competition, I am way to old
Thank you for visiting and you kind words as always. Astrid
Well, I knew what it was straight away, even though my derriere hasn't been near a saddle in years! I didn't know you could get computers now - that sounds like a really useful bit of kit. It must be nice cycling round in Holland as it's so flat - it's a bit hilly where I live.
Ingrid
Picturit:
Have a great day and thanks Ingrid as always. Astrid.
woow...good focusing and good idea.
Regards from Yogyakarta Indonesia.
Picturit: Bram, thank you so much for visiting my blog, I am impressed by the quality of your blog, you have beautiful B&W, it is a joy for the eye.
have a nice evening. Astrid.
Cat eye! cat eye! Is that half a cats eyes. I am confused baffled and bewildered. Your signature (Astrid 2009) looks a little shaky today. Is this due to a hectic schedule of ship building. Are you part of a secret Hollandaise plot to build an armada and attack our great nation and overthrow our royal family and put a sheep on the throne of England>
Can I join you? ps does your cat eye give you internet access? More coughie kupjes?
Picturit: #1 yes I am making an armada
#2 yes you can join in, I'll take care of the coughie #3 no it does NOT have the Internet access, my GPS has, the one I use for running, so if I get lost they just can take me home. #4 always in for coughie. Astrid.
Is this your bike?
An emoticon with a cheeky grin.
Picturit: Yes it is MY BIKE, I used to do triatlons, 20 some years ago
you mean this... Astrid
Do I get a kiss too?
Picturit: Sure why not...but don't tell anybody..
Astrid.
Of course you would have a bike like that, Astrid. Nice sharp photo, good choice in B&W.
Looks like the St. Louis Arch.
Picturit:
have a great weekend!!! Astrid.
Nice detail. Great cat eyes!!!
Picturit: Thanks
Astrid.
Glad to see yours is very much alive, Chad just presented me with a wrecked one, much to my distress.
Picturit: That had moss alover, I pity his cat eyes very much...
Thanks as always. Astrid.
Ha Ha, nice closeup of your trip computer.
Picturit: Thanks, it has a story with it, but you only understand if you visit Chad's blog too.
Thank you for visiting. Astrid
I like this Astrid, great range of tones and once again you find a very amusing place to put your name. Lol!
Picturit: Thanks Brian, it is always fun to joke around a little...
Astrid.
I'm amazed that so many couldn't recognise this, lots of nice curves.
Picturit: I was too, but than a lot of people don't ride bikes I think...
Thank you for your kind words, BTW I send Ginnie the e-mail, Astrid.
B/w is spot on here Astrid. No place for a tripod
Picturit: No, I do carry a backpack though
Astrid.
Astrid.
Maybe you can take the bike to the UK and quickly count cat eyes for chad. It may solve chad's riddle sooner. You see, I expect to run out of 'Long road' songs to use as comments for his pictures.
I can't understand why people can't see that it is your bike - you have your name very clearly on it. een nederlander op een fiets is ook maar erg gewoon Ik dacht nu net aan je liefde voor de bouwvakkers.
I will let you know. Some people don't have a clue and for us a bike is so normal... Have a great day Louis and thank you as always, please say hello to your wederhelft. Astrid.
Great picture. I never would have figured out what it was
Picturit:
Thanks for visiting Astrid.
A wonderful composition.
Picturit: Thank Michael, thanks for visiting again, hope you will enjoy your new place to live.
Astrid.
Its a bike right? I like how you always incorporate your watermark somehow
Picturit: Yes it's my bike,
Astrid
Super shot, Astrid. The perspective and tone works so well
Picturit: Thank you Paul, it was fun to do.
Astrid
Oh I have just seen it thinking it was a new image, Astrid. Cat eye, that is very funny but what could this object be?
Picturit: Chad I have not the faintest idea what this is....but there is some one on Shutterchance and he is posting pictures of cat eyes in the road, a looooooooooong road, he is doing that already for 2 months, and it is getting in my system, can you imagine??......
No this image is much more different than yesterday....keep looking and you find the 5 differences. Een geweldige dag verder en bedankt voor de lieve reactie. Astrid. There is no prize to win as you find them though
Nice shot with cool DoF in it! So simple can photography be!
Picturit:
Astrid.
An interesting shot! I like the curves of the cables.
Picturit: Thanks Wim, it was fun to do, I just noticed that the bike computer is a 'cat eye' I coould not resisit.
Astrid.
Very creative shot. Well composed and nice DOF.
Picturit: Tom, thank you so much for your kind words and for visiting.
Have a great weekend. Astrid.
I love your bike, Astrid. I'd like to get a cat eye for mine as well.
And of course I like the dof in your picture, the attention to detail, and the B&W. very fitting.
Picturit: Kay, a cat eye is such fun, it tells the time, speed, distance, everage speed, in miles and kilometers.
I have it already for years. Thank you for your kind words, as always. Astrid.
unusual composition
Picturit: I know Guruh, but the subject was about the name cat eye and the SC blog of Chad....you have to be on the joke to know why I took this shot.
Thanks for visiting though. Have a great weekend. Astrid.
Cateseyes coming to get you tonight
Picturit:
Have a great weekend and thanks. Astrid
woah, pretty serious equipment you got there..
Picturit:
Astrid.
I like it because it is not clear at first look what it is! Very nice.
Picturit:
Astrid.
Cateye or is it a diversion from your name Astrid. I think you were leading us there starting with cateye then the white "thingy" which leads us to your name
Picturit: Thanks....I might have a hawk-eye...
Astrid.
Interesting b/w detail shot. Nice !
Picturit: Thanks Carsten, it started as a joke, but it turned out well.
Astrid.
Creative framing and like the b/w processing for this bike. Great clarity and details too.
Picturit: Thanks John, I intended to make the crop not as big as this one, but I focused on the cat eye, I might post the larger picture one time
Astrid
Oooer..you're bit of a whizz on the bike then, Astrid? Lovely detail to this. I did a similar shot, people would think that my name is "Shimano"!
Picturit: Yes I am
Astrid. |
