Bright and colourful against the green backdrop.
Picturit: It was wonderful to walk along this small connecting canal near the Avon river. Lisl lives close to this place and I took a walk on Sunday.

This is fabulous, Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you, Ray.
It was a nice walk to take and a bonus to find these boats.
Astrid.
Joli petit bateau, j'aime le chien.
Picturit: Dogs love to be on the boats, what a life to have smile

Very nice too Astrid. I like the dog
Picturit: Thank you, Chris. I think it is great to have a dog on board, might keep people off maybe??

A very picturesque scene, I love the narrowboats, too. Batheaston is Lisl's home.
Picturit: This is maybe 20 minutes walk from Lisl's home, I had quite a nice walk all around.

You enjoyed your walk out to explore, Astrid
Picturit: Yes indeed, Lisl. Sometimes I just like to be by myself and wander around. Thank you.
Astrid.
YOU found some boats the day I stayed home because of my cold! I wish I could have been there because you found some gorgeous shots, like this one! I love it for you (and your name placement).
Picturit: sad Yes I am so sorry that you could not join me that day, Ginnie. I went to the Toll Bridge twice and walked along the Avon and another canal (this one) to find some boats. Next time. Thank you.

At first I thought that you had put your name on this picture Astrid, until I saw that reflection in the water. Then I knew it was genuine.
Picturit: I did put my name on this, Chad...... I made the reflection too grin. Thank you for your kind words here, it makes my day. The picture took me 2 minutes, the name at least 10 minutes.....

Special composition, but the cherry on this cake is your rippled name in the reflection.
Picturit: Thank you kindly, Louis. You know my "creating" my signature is fun to me smile
Astrid.
And what a coincidence in the name smile
Picturit: HA yes, especially when I put it in like that grin... (I renamed it)
Astrid.
England doesn't come much better than this Astrid.
Picturit: Indeed, Brian, I love this so much.

Looking so serene and calming.
Picturit: It does, Anne. This is one thing why we like England (the UK) so much, scenes like these.

A friend of mine (an ex-Captain in the Royal Navy) has his own narrow boat - rather different from what he used to command! I'm amazed at the number of people now living on canal boats.
Picturit: Living on a house boat is very special and very back to basic. I can imagine how your friend likes it that way. Just keep the things that are important and enjoy life to the fullest. This is quite different than being a captain on a war-boat HA.
Astrid.
Perfectly peaceful Lady P
Picturit: It does not get better than this, Bill. We love scenes like this.
Astrid.
every boat should have a dog to care for it Astrid... love those English Canal Boats....petersmile
Picturit: Indeed so, Peter. What a life and yes I love these Canal boats too.

wonderful reflections...the dog seems mesmerized.
Picturit: Thank you, Bonnie. That dog has a wonderful life to be on board and "guard" the ship.
Astrid.
Astrid is resting peacefully and looks beautiful in the truly horizontal reflection. Very nice, Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you kindly, Mary.
Astrid.
What a lovely peaceful image, Astrid. It looks to be quite close to the bank; was it anchored there?

What a cute and colorful Astrid! With dog! Perfect.
Picturit: I love these canal boats, Robin, so narrow and so colourful. That dog was the "master" of the boat is my guess...
Astrid.
Awe - I love that pup! Great catch!
Picturit: Don't you just love it, for some reason dogs and boats go together...
Astrid.
