Yeah, cheap labour.
Picturit: Indeed, Michael.

They seem comfortable in their work smile
Picturit: I think these inmates are happy to do some work outside of the prison and I think the guards are not in a hurry too wink
Astrid.
Good to be doing something useful rather than locked in a cell, Astrid.
Picturit: Indeed so, Frank. I heard about it but never saw it in real life.
Astrid.
I bet they love having work detail!
Picturit: I think so too, Elizabeth. And I hope that they are able to keep up the good behavior and can go back into society.
Astrid.
I agree with Elizabeth. I bet these guys live for their detail work outside! It makes total sense...a way to pay/give back to the community. I especially like your name placement!!!
Picturit: I hope that these guys get another chance after they paid their dues in prison. I think they should have a system like this in the Netherlands too. There is nothing wrong with doing some work and pay back the community. Thank you, Ginnie.

I see that you belong to the group of prison workers - good work for sure. I agree with Ginnie.
Picturit: Honest work, Philine. I like this system of them paying back the community by doing some cleaning up work.

Aha! The wages of sin are being earned..
Picturit: Indeed, Chris. I wished they had a system like this here too... nothing wrong with some "free" cleaning up.

La main d'œuvre qui ne coûte pas cher
JP
Picturit: Indeed, JP. They already cost the community loads of money.
Astrid.
Learning the joy of work
Picturit: Indeed so, Bill. I never saw this in real life.
Astrid.
Très courageux ces hommes !
Picturit: These are inmates from prison doing work outside the prison because of good behavior and the next step is freedom and trying to get back into the community.
Thank you, Claudine.

Ah I understand what is going on here Astrid because, I too have sloping shoulders. I have always been told to straighten up but sometimes your physique wins. This chap in the picture has been ordered to hold the post to try and correct his sloping shoulders.
Picturit: grin..... and you see that "I" help him doing so... maybe overtime he can do it without help....Thank you, Chad.
Astrid.
Not a bad idea - payback time.
Picturit: I agree with you, Martin.
Astrid.
We do not see that here. Cool. I would have taken a shot too.
Picturit: I never saw this in real life, Mary. And I always have my camera ready when we ride the car, I was happy that I got this shot from the car.....

this is very unusual to my eyes, Astrid. although i did see this in Hollywood movies. nice shot.
Picturit: To me too, Ayush and I never saw this in real life too. Like you only in movies.
I always am on the look out for something different on the road in the USA.
Astrid.
They look very similar to men at work on the road in the UK!
Picturit: I doubt that the UK uses "inmates" to work on the road. These men are from prison and because of good behavior they are allowed to go out and work...
Astrid.
Could be the first time some of them ever done a proper days work.
Picturit: Maybe so, Brian and maybe they will be glad to have this proper work and want to continue if they get a chance back into society... I do hope so, they did time, paid for the crime and show that you want...
Astrid.

Now there's a fine idea. I wish they would do something similar in the UK. We have "Community Service" which is instead of prison but I don't believe it is properly managed. I hope the "Astrid" sign did not hold you up.
Picturit: I think so too, Alan. Nothing wrong with giving back to the society. "I" made sure everything went well that day grin...

Astrid, you got carried away, with this picture. I guess these guys enjoy a day outside.
Picturit: grin... They brought "me" back and yes sometimes I like ti that I am carried away wink... I see too many movies HA...
I think they love it and I hope they don't make a run for it....
Astrid.
The name placement! Priceless!!
Picturit: Don't you just love it, he is carrying me all over "D...
Thank you, Robin, as always.
Astrid.
