.....Swan Lake...... Duck Puddle....

This is our view from the kitchen, yes I know "lucky us'....

Because of severe rain, the lawn changed from a "swan lake"....  into a "Duck Puddle"......

C'est le printemps, les arbres commencent à  fleurir.
Picturit: Spring is my favourite time of the year, Martine.
Now they start blooming fats.
Astrid.
Ducks know how to take advantage of open water.
Picturit: They are smart, Larry, they know.

It doesn't take much water to make them happy, Astrid. I am sorry you have been deluged, too
Picturit: I think we had a 'very WELLY Easter' Lisl grin....
But I know after the rain sun will come..
Astrid.
Yes, indeed! Lucky you! Lovely photos, Astrid!
Picturit: I have to confess that I cropped out the parking garage on the right and the street parking on the left.....

It is your own wildlife haven Astrid. It's much the same here in Bath
Picturit: Yes indeed, Chris... "wildlife have"... soon we will see the ducks chasing each other again...
I have some flowerbulbflowers on the balcony and they are being taught "how to swim".......
Astrid.
Oh, how wonderful, Astrid. Right outside our kitchen window! Spring is definitely springing!
Picturit: Thank you, Ginnie. Looking outside is one of the first things I do when I enter the kitchen. The view changes each day and soon the trees will bloom wonderfully.
we don't need to go far for some nice pictures.

A scene very similar to that near me. The ducks are loving all the new places to enjoy for a swim smile I'm predicting a drought in three months' time smile
Picturit: I know for sure that we will have a drought and HOT weather and we 'die' for a drop of rain.... For now the ducks have fun in the puddles..
Astrid.

Ha ha all we need now, Astrid, is a well known composer to write a piece of music to Duck Puddle.
Picturit: That would be the day, Chad. I will let you know if somebody will start and finish it...

Thank you for making me laugh out loud, Astrid.
Picturit: I am glad you had a laugh... I know this is such a different world from where you live in, Ray.
Astrid.
We had had 21.9 mm. in the last 24hrs. A welly good Easter.
Picturit: A very welly Easter indeed..... our flower started swimming around the block....they just finished swimming and are now asleep... wink
Astrid.
Seems to be a nice outlook Astrid, but like us it seems you are having plenty of rain, today is a washout here!
Picturit: I cropped out the parking garage on the right and the street parking on the left. I will show a picture when the trees come in bloom.... chestnut trees that is.
Astrid.
Well, the duck seems to find it acceptable! Snow here in Sheffield last night and this morning.
Picturit: sad snow..... the ducks enjoy this spot very much, we soon will have the small ducks running around....
Astrid.
I ventured into my now bog garden yesterday before the rain set in once again

Still you have a nice view smile
Picturit: You know where we live and yes we do love where we live and we enjoy the view. Tomorrow it will R A I N again...
Astrid.
It is so good to see swelling bud. I was wondering if it was too soon to cut some forsythia for blooming indoors. I love that you have ducks.
Picturit: I think forsythia will grow inside too.... we have a lot of ducks and some geese and even gulls sometimes. We love where we live. I cropped out the parking garage on the right and street parking on the left wink...
Astrid.
Beautiful this image, at first glance would seem confusing, then slowly you notice all the details, it would need a bigger size to lose appreciated better
Picturit: This tree is in front of our balcony and in the background we have a small canal and some wonderful trees... also parking garage on the right site and streetparking on the left, the puddle is in the grass near the tree.

je kan niet alles hebben Astrid..

fijne avond
Picturit: smile Nee dat weet ik Willy en wij zijn al blij met wat we hebben.
Fijne avond.
Astrid.
it rained a lot last night Astrid... i love your duck pond....petersmile
Picturit: We will get some more rain too, Peter.
Thank you, the pond evaporated now....
Astrid.
That is funny.
Picturit: I thought so too, Michael.

Your view should improve soon with those blossoms on the verge of bursting open. Canard d'confit is a nice dish.
Picturit: erm.... I don't think the duck will like it when I chase it with a fork and a knife HA.... when the tree blooms I will show some pictures.
Astrid.
i like the top picture and your point of focus, Astrid. the duck is making full utilization of the circumstances.
Picturit: Thank you, Ayush. I know we are lucky with this view. And we have smart ducks around here.
Astrid.
Every kitchen should have a window. I think it's the most therapeutic act everyone must do - watch out the window while doing dishes, ha ha!
Picturit: That is the first thing what I do when I come into the kitchen, see what the weather is and what temperature and look at the flowers.... It is soulful and we are so lucky to have this view. And like you, we live IN the city....

I love the DoF in your first photo smile
