He is happy in his work, glowing in the dark smile
Picturit: That was hard work for him to pull the boat into the pier wink.
we just came fro the excursion to the Lofoten and were picked up by the postal boat in the next harbour...
Astrid.
Not gonna miss him!
Picturit: No, we were there before the boat arrived..... it was quite difficult to get on board again, the quay was too high for the normal 'entrance'

He's pulling the boat into the pier so you can clamber aboard, Astrid.
Picturit: He did not have to go to the gym that night...
Astrid
It's so strange, Astrid, but I remember this as though it were yesterday. The only part I don't remember is the reflector stripes on his suit! smile BRAVA.
Picturit: That was quite the day wasn't it, Ginnie. I took this with flash that is why the stripes reflected......normally when there is no light you don't see them.
Astrid.

Nice to know you got up before the crack of dawn to photograph this strong man drag the ship in to its mooring
Picturit: Indeed so and I know for sure that he did not have to need another workout that day...

Oh, this is a gorgeous night image! I like the glowing protection outfit of the man.
Picturit: Thank you, Philine. That was quite unexpected the way that turned out. It was my flash that did the trick.
Astrid
You were up early...or was it late?
Picturit: Late at night after our excursion to the Lofoten. The postal boat went to another port while we were 'on land'... and picked up later.

Well lit up Astrid. Just compare this man, who does not look as if he really knows what he is doing , with the purposeful hard working lady in my picture today.
Picturit: He did not know what to do with the rope, strangle somebody or put it around his own neck and of course I was not telling him.... to bad your sweeping lady was not there to help....

I found your signature in the end, Astrid
Picturit: Sometimes I don't know what to do with it.... on his jacket was not too good visible.
Astrid.
Quite a heavy job to haul that rope all on his own I presume.
Picturit: I think they are quite used to that and I saw men doing that more than 40 times on our trip, this was the Norway postal boat and we took trip on that. Form Kirkenus to Bergen, 7 days.
Astrid.
How cool is that, Astrid!
Picturit: I really liked the way that turned out. I used the flash to let it lit up.
Astrid.
Wat mooi vastgelegd met dit fluoriserende vest als aandachtstrekker
Picturit: Ik heb de flitser gebruikt om dat effect te krijgen... geeft inderdaad een mooi effect.
Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you, Claudine. It was a great trip and the extra things we saw. Just amazing.
Have a great weekend.
Astrid.
that's a hard working man handling that thick rope to moor the ship to the pier Astrid... good night shot....petersmile
Picturit: They did an amazing job always catching the rope and get the ship tied up.
Thank you, Peter.
Astrid.
He's radioactive! smile
Picturit: smile Maybe so.... I hope only his jacket is..
Astrid.
Here I with the digital are definitely in trouble with the night, perhaps also the fault of the instrument or perhaps my laziness in not wanting to use a tripod.
Oh my...that GLOW! Cool!
Picturit: Don't you just love the outcome... used my flash...
Astrid.
