this shot does have some impression of a fishing village, Astrid. and i liked your touch of inverting your signature, just as the packing case it. smile
Picturit: Lofoten is fish, Ayush. A small community that lives on the fish industry. And yes I am part of it ;(

Scandinavians love their fish, Astrid.
Picturit: Indeed so and they have a lot of it.
Astrid.
Did you and Chris collaborate today?!
Great shot, Astrid! I shared this with him - have you heard it? Very quippy!

Picturit: LOL... that was fun and no we did not know.
Astrid.
One of my favorite things about Norway...the drying fish like that! And yes, what a brilliant signature!
Picturit: Thank you, Ginnie. That was some trip to the Lofoten and all that fish, amazing.

Oh, the 'stockfische', I love the colourful doors - oh, your handwriting!
Picturit: Thank you kindly, Philine. We have fond memories of that trip.

The fish are hanging around waiting for better times Astrid
Picturit: Indeed so, they are dried to eat them later. BTW the heads of these fish are also dried and shipped to Africa and people put them in the soup for the flavour and meat what is still in the big heads.
I was up close such a drying place and the heads are almost as big as a soccer ball and do NOT smell at all.
Amazing place, that Norway.

Love your attention to detail with that upside-down box
Picturit: One of the things I really enjoy doing, besides taking pictures.
Astrid.
Heel mooi tafereeltje
En genoeg vis voor de hele week zou ik zeggen ;-0
Picturit: Op de Lofoten was genoeg vis voor het hele jaar zou ik zeggen. Dat was een heel speciaal om dat te zien.

I like the colour scheme in this photograph of yours Astrid, it is very pleasing. Yes, funny that you and Tiff share the topic today. You will love the song when you hear it.
Picturit: I will go to Tiff's song and listen to it. It was quite the coincident dat we had fish for dinner....
Astrid.
First the fish head song and now this. I think I would like the taste of Norway smile
Picturit: You will love Norway and it helps if you like fish as well wink
Astrid.
Love the signature! Just waiting for it to be filled up!
Picturit: Indeed, Robin. That is quite the place to visit. we had very foggy weather but we got the feel of the island and the fish. Tons of it.
Astrid.
I would be happy to come to dinner if we are having fish.
Picturit: I am glad you like fish and you are invited for dinner...
Astrid.
No doubting what these premises are for, although is it healthy to leave the fish hanging outside like that in all the polluted air.
Picturit: Brian, you can take my word for it, but the Lofoten have fresh air, it is not that the fish is hanging on my balcony with a go-through road next to it.
This is above the polar circle...
Astrid.
Not fish again...
Picturit: erm..... Do I get the impression you don't like fish wink

Save me some for Friday smile
Picturit: HA, I will there will be enough so bring your pan and just get some grin
Astrid.
I will pass on the fish. I just can't eat it.
A lovely shot though.
Picturit: Too bad, Michael, but I think there are a lot of other things to eat too.
Astrid.

Yes, please! Looks like the gulls aren't going too get these easy pickings.
Picturit: No the gulls are kept away. Large netting are over the fish so that they stay away.
Astrid.
For dinner for several weeks by the looks of it!
Picturit: At least several weeks and you can invite the whole neighbourhood...
Astrid.
good find Astrid... it is my guess that the fish may be salted....petersmile
Picturit: Not salted at all. the dry air is doing the trick. Just amazing how that goes.

Astrid.
