Picturit: Don't you just love it. This was written on the wall of the house, not even a sign....I like the 'please' too.... Amsterdam people are very nice and polite
Astrid.
Picturit: In Amsterdam are more than 811.185 people living and 180 different nationalities, the most in the world. English might be the language most people know.

Oh alright then! I'll take it indoors instead. A new one on me, I've seen signing telling people not to attach bikes to railings with threads of them being cut free and removed.
Picturit: I might think that is a good idea, bicycles indoors are more safe than outdoors and yes they will be cut free and removed. There is often a warning in Amsterdam near the trainstation. Most of the time they give you a few weeks to remove the bikes.
Astrid.
It makes me wondered what happened to prompt the sign.
Picturit: There was a small hedge and maybe they threw bikes against it as a stand.... which is often done in the Netherlands. This place was also at a narrow corner.
Astrid.
Love the handwriting! For some reason this just made me giggle!
Picturit: Indeed, Robin. I looked at the sign and it was so odd/strange/different from what I am 'used' to see in Amsterdam. And the handwriting is most beautiful. The hedge was well kept also .
