i like your woody, painty signature in this one, Astrid. i see quite some stirrups and other implements, very good with this treatment.
Picturit: Thank you kindly, Ayush. I alwyas like to twiddle more than I need to with subjects like this and it brought out the texture.
Astrid.
Wow - love the comp and the coloring!
Picturit: Thank you kindly, Elizabeth.

Great shot!

You remind me that my Dad had many rabbit traps like these...I used them a bit when I was about 12-13 years old.
Picturit: Thank you, Ray. I think it is not nice to use traps however I am a believer that we need to keep the rabbit population down or they become more than a pest as they already are....
Astrid.
There are some mean looking traps there Lady P
Picturit: They are and I think they did 'great'... I wonder if they still are used.

No wonder your signature was shaky, Astrid! I wonder if there was a man-trap hidden away here!
Picturit: I walked on eggs there and that is why my hand shook too... grin...
Astrid.
Great title for all these trapping thingamajigs, Astrid. I love the color variations coming out from your twiddling.
Picturit: After the twiddle the colours came out like this, which I like. Sometimes with this kind of objects I have to exaggerate in the twiddle..
Thank you as always, Ginnie.

Hmmm.. not a lover of the subject material by any means but they do make for a fine photo under the expert hands especially with the colours and texture.
Picturit: I know, Alan. Sometimes we capture things that are not totally 'political correct' bt so fun to capture...

This farm was a treasure House for you - fascinating details!
Picturit: It was, Philine and so little time....

I recognise what these are Astrid, they are THINGS hanging on a barn wall..
Picturit: Indeed and don't point a finger to them for it might say 'SNAP' and you cannot point anymore...

Traps are horrific tools for catching animals. Illegal to use in my country - not that it stops people from doing so. The picture is a great one.
Picturit: Now you gave me some information I did not know, but then I am very ignorant when it comes to traps... I know that you cannot hunt for protected animals.
Thank you, Louis.

Interesting colours in your photo Astrid. I hope that you and Gin weren’t trapped.
Picturit: Thank you, Chad. No I made sure that I did not much of pointing with one finger. This might be a dangerous place for Mr. Trim though...
Astrid.
Belle photo ..surprenante mais bien vue ..
Bonne journée
Picturit: Thank you, Claudine. I think things like these are normal in this kind of country with a lot of animals that are 'pests and have too many children all the time.
Astrid.
I'm not sure what they are all for but I fear for the poor creatures they are meant for.
Picturit: I assume it is the battle of the fittest and the smartest down here. My thought is that we need hunters to make sure some species don't over-populate.
Astrid.
Oh, wow. I've never seen those kinds of traps! Very cool!
Picturit: I think every animal has its own trap, I know the ones for the moles, we have them too here..
Astrid.
Another good still life with lots of interest, Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you, Frank. I love the place.
Astrid.
Found art, I think, Astrid!
Picturit: Indeed so. Things like this are the cherries on the pie for me.
Astrid.
very old wood and rusty old traps Astrid... two of the best textures that a photographer can find....petersmile
Picturit: I agree with you. This was an old and weathered sheepfarm.
Astrid.
This is serious trapping gear.
Picturit: He means business here and I think he caught many 'whatevers'wink...
Astrid.
A fine photo all around...
Picturit: I love things like this, not very often seen in the Netherlands.
