Wow! Reminds me of a snake's skeleton, Astrid!
Picturit: Me too, I think this is a great design...
Astrid.
Ray beat me, it does look like a prehistoric skeleton!
Picturit: Yes indeed, Frank. I wonder if the architect was inspired by those skeletons.... I like the design.
Astrid.
OMG...you have to be kidding me! It is a park for tourists! Glad I went all those years ago...
Picturit: I am so happy that this does not go into Venice, it goes from the car park to some industrial areas outside the city. Yes you can be glad that you visited the 'old' Venice.
Astrid
Ah that is so cool! wonderful photo - and I enjoyed that video!
Picturit: Don't you love it too... I was surprised that it was there...

Brilliant idea. I think Bill should have one installed from his house to Bullock's restaurant..
Picturit: I think the drawings are already at his architect.....

Do you remember the Royal Albert Bridge, the old iron railway bridge that took you over the River Tamar into Cornwall, Astrid?
Picturit: Yes I do remember that bridge, never knew it was that beautiful.

You got a fabulous photo of this monorail, Astrid. I love it...and your signature. I love how you always find videos when you do the research.
Picturit: Thank you, Ginnie. Sometimes it shows what they see in the picture. It is one of my joys to 'google' that.

Aha, I have never arrived in Venice this way Astrid. What a great way to travel. I usually enter by sea from Punta Sabioni.
Picturit: That is the normal way, this mono rail hoes from the parking area towards some spots into the industrial area and maybe also the railway station, I might be wrong though.

You did see things in Venice I never did see - very interesting!
Picturit: We took the waterbus the other way around and we passed the industrial area.... a wonderful boat ride.
Astrid.
It looks like a giant backbone!
Picturit: It does, doesn't it. I like the construction very much.

... and I thought it is the bones of a demised whale.
Picturit: Maybe they found some while dredging the canals....wink....
Astrid.
I never knew this existed, I'm not sure if i'd like a ride on it or not to be honest.
Picturit: It does not go al the way into Venice, thank god for that. It does reach some industrial areas though. It might be fun to ride it.
Astrid.
It certainly resembles a spine - but of WHAT!
Picturit: I don't know.... it sure is a long backbone though....
Astrid.

Wow! That's very impressive. I love the design.ek a snake. I heard today that Venice is one of at lessat 15 places trying to discourage tourists.
Picturit: That is impressive indeed and I was surprised to see this in Venice. Not long ago Ginnie and I saw a program about Venice and its true inhabitants, people are moving out of the city daily because it is almost not do-able to live there and have a proper life. In summer you can hardly walk, the waterbusses are cramped with tourists. Some idiot asked at the desk of his hotel when the Venice-park closed, that idiot thought it was an amusement park.... like Walt Disney World.... Ginnie and I were glad we saw it in a 'quiet' period of the year, but I never have to go back to that place. We saw what we wanted to see and the rest we can find on the internet knowing the situation in Venice sad.
Astrid.
Is this from the airport?
Picturit: No not from the airport. In this link you can read more about it.

Picturit: Peter, it turned out more than okay. I hope you are doing fine.
I was surprised to see this kind of architecture in the outskirts of Venice.
Thank you Peter, please take care.
