Beautifully positioned, isn't it, Astrid.
Picturit: This Greenman is way up at the ceiling and the story tells that Greenmen don't like to be captured. It is always fun to look for them.
Astrid.
These greenmen that we find are so fascinating to me, Astrid, especially in churches. My preacher dad would be so amazed by them. I wonder how he'd feel if one or two of them had been in his churches along the way???

I'm convinced some of them don't want to be photographed because even with my long-distance camera, my shots were similar.
Picturit: He would have want to know all about them. I wonder what makes them so 'not able to photograph'... most intriguing...
Thank you, Ginnie.
Astrid.

This type is what we would call a "foliate head," and a fine expression he has too
Picturit: Thank you, Chris. These Greenman have my fascination to no end....

Oh, a really wonderful Greenman at the cross you did find - Chris might jump up for pleasure - and fascinating also the little corner of the sacristan with all the photos and tools! I love your posting today!
Picturit: Thank you, Philine for your kind words. I often wander off in a church to see what is all there... Never knowing I came across the safe.
Astrid.
You wouldn't argue with this chap!
Picturit: I respect them to no end. Sometimes I even am embarrassed to try to capture them...

I very often have problems photographing Green Men - there are times when I just cannot focus the camera
Picturit: Don't you think that is intriguing, it is almost like they have their own life...
Astrid.

Safe from the greenman with that safe smile
Picturit: Indeed so. Louis. You never know with these Greenmen smile
Astrid.
I think your greenman has a sore neck today.
Picturit: I think so too and this is his Wednesday face BTW...
Astrid.
These Green men seem to be everywhere. That corner is a most unusual find in a church.
Picturit: I thought that too about the safe.... Green Men are everywhere to be found. Chris and Lisl told us about them.
Astrid.

And I can see the head of an even small man learning out of the crack above, as if he is trapped by the green bloke.
Picturit: You are right!!!!!! I did not even see that little man. Thank you for noticing...
I hope you have a great time in Germany on the boat, I am thinking of you and know you will enjoy the trip!!
Astrid.
The face looks a little scary!
Picturit: Yes indeed, like it was 'angry and surprised' I took a picture.... they are wonderful to look at though.
Astrid.
Thanks for sharing that link! Greenman...how intriguing!
Picturit: Don't you love them, they are intriguing and our English friends know a lot about them.
Astrid.
a strange looking greenman Astrid... but then most of them are a bit strange... but don't tell Lisl that i said thatgrin....petersmile
Picturit: I agree with you that the Greenmen are different and I even think that Lisl will agree with me grin...
Astrid.
Ginnie should paint him green. smile
Picturit: She was already standing on my shoulders, however the ceiling was very high up wink
Astrid.
A little different, isn't it!
Picturit: It is. And it is always a joy when we spot them.
Astrid.
