Astrid, what an amazing night shot!!! It looks so clear, and the lighting so pretty. We'll call you "Steady Eddie" from now on! smile
The video was really something!!
Picturit: Thank you so much, Elizabeth. This was a perfect evening for the ride with the vaporetto and try to take some night shots.
As I said to Frank, I was intrigued how they built Venice and like Venice, Amsterdam is built on poles. Now concrete poles is used to build on house.
Astrid.
Super shot, Astrid, and what an interesting video.
Picturit: Thank you so much, Frank. It was a great evening for taking pictures. I was intrigued by how they built Venice. Amsterdam is build on poles too and most of our houses, we now use concrete though.
Astrid.
i think this is a very unusual shot of the Rialto, Astrid. i like the watery rendition of your signature.
Picturit: The Grand Canal has a bend in it and I think this is on the way back and I made sure I was on that side of the vaporetto (waterbus) I tried to 'blend in' my signature. Thank you, Ayush.
Astrid.
What a night to remember, Astrid, by this fabulous image! I'm so glad we did it. That video is a WOW. So well done in explaining the basic facts of how Venice was built...like Amsterdam. It blows the mind...like your signature. smile
Picturit: Indeed so, Ginnie. We were so lucky to have the perfect night, I loved the lights of Venice, a night to remember. It is mind blowing how they figured it out back then how to build in the lagoon...

Fabulous Astrid, and look, is that your name I can make out in the water? Fascinating video too. I shudder at the work needed to fell so many tress.

Picturit: Thank you very much, Martine.
Astrid.
This is very good for a moving boat shot, i don't think I've ever seen a night shot of the bridge before.
Picturit: I hardly saw any night shots of Venice and it is so beautiful at night too. All the hose and palaces are lit at night.
Thank you, Brian.
Astrid.
Love everything about this posting! Wonderful night time capture and love the watery look of your signature!
Picturit: Thank you so much, Robin, we took our time to make sure that we left the B&B just before dusk and we saw it getting dark over the next hour... we had a great evening.
