Wouldn't it be great to stand on the balcony and bless the visitors...smile
Picturit: I think that would be awesome, however I am afraid that some people in white might will drag me from the balcony and my Italian is a little rusty and I have no clue about Latin either.
Astrid.
very unusual (for me at least), to see these on a balcony. i see those are the German flag and the Union Jack? what building is this?
Picturit: This was above a restaurant and believe me, Ayush, I have no statues like these on our balcony... I try to grow plants...But I could not resist to capture the scene.
Astrid.
That's a little odd isn't it! But wonderful, and wonderfuly Catholic! Great find, Astrid!
Picturit: This was almost not to be missed and 'so Catholic'..... it made me smile.

One does wonder about these things, Astrid! We'll never forget it, will we! smile
Picturit: Indeed, Ginnie, who thinks about putting those statues there, okay for Christmas, but ' forever'????
These are the scenes we do remember.

Such an important part of the local lives, Astrid
Picturit: I think so too, Lisl, a little odd in my eyes though. In a street with shops and restaurants.

Oh, another fine observation - I hope to be in Burano, too.
Picturit: You will love it, wonderful town and so colourful.
Astrid.
I liked Burano Astrid but cannot remember seeing these statues. What a fabulous sight.
Picturit: A wonderful town. Maybe you were more focussed on the shops and restaurants... I hardly saw the shops with lace....
Astrid.
Get offa my lawn!
Picturit: Almost half time and time for tea........
Astrid.
I think these molds are used around the world. I certainly recognize them.
Picturit: You might be right, I have seen these before.... but on the balcony....

Sometimes, the explanation could be simple, e.g. the people in that house makes statues. Heh, maybe ...
Picturit: Very religious statue makers I think.....
Sometimes I would love the story behind such a scene.
Astrid.
A mosat unusual thing to see above a restaurant.
Picturit: I thought so too, Brian...it did not belong in the total view of that street...

No hiding the church that the owner of the apartment follows. Let hope it it brings him the good fortune that he is probably hoping for.
