Wow! What a tangle! And I know they know exactly where each one goes and what it does! Nice shot and I like the background merge!
Picturit: Indeed and I am always happy to see when there is 'order' on a boat, you know the captain and crew keeps to the rules. Also in storm or panic, one should find the right rope blindly....

A fine display of ropecraft, Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you, Ray. One of the many pleasures to look at.
Astrid.
Fabulous craftsmanship, especially with your name, Astrid! I know you would love to be on such a boat again....

I do love to se a proper sailing boat with proper ropes rather than the polypropylene equivalents. I like the wooden "ball bearings" too.

This is a very "Astrid" picture!
A fine Friday picture Lady P. A great example of ropeage
I think that we have Sen the good ship Astrid before. Nice detail of the rigging Astrid.
So we're ready to cast away.
Oh, I am so glad you and Ginnie have a boat. Please sail it over here for the summer. I can find you crew.
Nice shot Astrid. I often wonder if the sailors actually know which ropes do what.
Nice shot, Astrid!
Fantastic tones... b/w is a great choice... I would love to see this framed...

I love all those ropes.
the business end of any tall ship Astrid...
great imagination to frame it like this....petersmile
That's a lot of ropes there and I can see your name behind it smile
Picturit: Indeed and most of the times I try to blend in my name. My fun to do 'something' different with the pictures I take.
Have a great Sunday, Charles.
Astrid.
oh my gosh...I'd never be able to keep up with what all those ropes are used for! Love the compilation though! And name!
Picturit: That is why they always have to at the same place and well organized.
Astrid.
