Quel est cet édifice derrière le bateau, une cathédrale ?
Picturit: This is the Hungarian Parliament Building and the Danube.

Astrid.
This is a gorgeous image, Astrid!! LOVE THIS - Not having any idea what it looked like in color, I think you were wise to go with B&W!
Picturit: Thank you, Elizabeth, I have to confess that the weather was very poor (dry though) and the colours were poor too.

Another one of those distinctive skylines Astrid. As soon as I saw the thumbnail I knew where this was
Picturit: You will be here again soon. I really love the city, so much to be seen.
Astrid.
I still pinch myself to think we were really there and saw this famous landmark, Astrid!
Picturit: We are so lucky that we are able to take these incredible travels together and see them together and enjoy them together... IHVJ Ginnie.

Did you get a trip on the River, too, Astrid?
Picturit: This was when we were in Budapest, we entered the City by boat (river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest) and the boat was in the City Center.
I took this picture from the not being on the boat.

What an impressive city - and your image is really great! I have to visit one day Budapest, but Hungary is such a problematic country now.
Picturit: It is an impressive city and I have to say that I don;t know the 'mood' of the country right now. Things were quite normal when we were there a few years ago.
Astrid.
Superbe prise de vue ...ce batiment qui domine le Danube est magnifique !
Merci
Picturit: This is one of the most beautiful scenes of Budapest. I just learned that the City and the Danube are UNESCO.

Wonderful picture that suggests a very interesting city here, Astrid.
Picturit: Budapest is a wonderful city we stayed another 4 days after arriving by boat from Amsterdam. We saw a lot.
Astrid.
This was from your Danube river trip Astrid...I presume. I liked Budapest and look forward to going back.
Picturit: It will be a nice welcome again when you and Chris go back this year. There is so much to see.
Astrid.
This brings a wow, Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you, Mary. Budapest is such a wonderful city.
Astrid.
I'm lad you posted this in B.& W., Astrid, I really like it.
Picturit: Thank you so much, Brian. Because of the dull weather this was the best option.
Astrid.
Unmistakeable, isn't it! I've been to Budapest two or three times and I'm always amazed by that building!
Picturit: That building is fabulous. A landmark you cannot miss.
Astrid.
It looks in good in b&w I think too. I remember my one time river cruise in 1998... it looking just like this on a dreary afternoon.
Picturit: Ha, so you know. 1998, long time ago, I think this scene did not change at all. We liked to be there very much.
Astrid.
What a wonderful building Lady P. Harking back I imagine to the days of the Austro-Hungarian empire
Picturit: It is, Bill. A landmark not to miss. Too bad we were not allowed in at that time. I would have loved to see the inside.

Those Budapestians sure knew how to decorate! smile
Picturit: Indeed, they know their job smile
Astrid.

The B&W treatment leads to...

So many lovely things to see in this image.
Picturit: Sometimes the B&W comes in handy. There is so much to see in Budapest.
Astrid.
This just breathtaking! A beautiful B&W photo with the full majesty of that palace in the background!
Picturit: Budapest is a wonderful city and this is the Parliament, but indeed it looked like a palace. We enjoyed it to no end. Thank you, Charles.
