photoblog image ....Hibernation.....

....Hibernation.....

What I wanted to say is 'Wintersleep'... what bears do in winter, sleep until Spring... I don't know if it is an English word. I found out that 'Wintersleep' is a Canadian band, I do wonder though if the bear will fall asleep with this music.......

Sometimes, in Jan'/Feb', hibernation appeals to me...
Picturit: I think deep down we are like bears... cuddle up in a cave and close the door HA.....

I red somewhere that Polar Bears are finding it difficult to hibernate in some polar regions due to lack of snow to burrow a cave in.
Either is an excellent title for this very pretty, very chilly image!! smile
I know I couldn't fall asleep to that....
Maybe we'll all wish we could hibernate AND wintersleep for the next four years??? But certainly not with that music ringing in our ears.

And, again, brilliant use of your signature!!!
Picturit: Maybe so, but that is a long sleep and we might have to sell our bed afterwards.... That music is not my 'cup of tea'....
Thank you as always for your kind words, Ginnie.
Astrid.
If they woke the bear up it would be livid to be disturbed Astrid. Clever the way you squeezed Astrid on to that pole.
Picturit: Never wake a sleeping bear, ever..... Thank you, Chad, as always.

I sometimes think sleeping from November-March would be a good thing to be able to do Astrid
Picturit: I do love winter too... I would not mind skating soon wink

'Winterschlaf' is also a German word. I love it, many animals are now sleeping. A fitting term and title for this wonderful, quiet image!
Picturit: Thank you, Philine. A lot of people don't like the winter too much, I would love to skate yet...Thank you as always.

I sometimes wish I could wintersleep. I don't like the cold very much!
The miserable grey weather this week makes me feel like hibernating Lady P
Hibernation is a very interesting subject. There is also partial hibernation. Nature is Amazing! Hope all the people asleep below deck are warm and snug.
Before they know it the owners of this boat will be up and about getting it ready for summer.
A tempting idea
Picturit: Indeed.... however I doubt that my boss will be happy with me if I do...(HA some at work do though and they get away with it sad
Astrid.
I totally want to hibernate for the next four years! Love that blue!!
Picturit: I know sad...... Thank you Robin, as always.

In England we learned that hedgehogs and other animals do this. It is called hibernation.

Picturit: Thank you, Cherry. I will have a thorough look at this link this afternoon. I love the opening picture. I know hedgehogs hibernate. To me it was a surprise to find the translation for the Dutch word 'winter slaap' was translated into hibernation, the same thing what the laptop does...... I love to learn new words smile
