smile Beautifully done, Astrid!
Picturit: Thank you, Elizabeth. This was in the morning of the 31st of December, the foggy day. I went very early to the bakery-shop to get us some 'oliebollen en appelbeignets'... two things we eat at the end of the year... so we can go on a diet the next year... grin....

You had so much fun that morning before the rest of the world had awakened. And, OH, those oliebollen and appelbeignets! (Gotta love your sinature placement!!!)
Picturit: That was my treat, thank you. I love these mornings all by myself and 'fool around'.. I am always looking forward to those ollie-bollies wink and appelbeignets.... they are so good..... 11months and 3 weeks wink

Picturit: Thank you, Peter. Every once in a while I love these mornings to be able to take some pictures. I have one picture in my mind and I have to be quick.... the lights of two bridges over the water. the reflections are amazing... every morning to work I see them, next time I stop and take my tripod and take the picture....

Excellent shot Astrid, you have either a very steady hand or a good tripod. Those bakes sound very nice.
Picturit: Tripod... 13 seconds... ISO 50... and wait for a car.... Thank you, Brian.

I have almost forgotten how long it stays dark on the mornings of the Hollandshire winters. Whenever we had a visit there on the 31st, some family members baked oliebollen en appelflappen - zoveel als je willen, plus noch!
Picturit: It is dark till after 8AM.... this was about 7.15 AM...
It is a great tradition I think and it is almost a 'must' to have them. I bought 10 'bollen' en 6 flappen.....
