C'est très joli.
Picturit: erm..... I think so.... I would have hit him in the face though....
Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you, Frank and I think Ray spots these things even with his eyes closed.... grin...

Astrid.
Hmmmmm....
Great photo, Astrid- I like the crop to bring out the details!
Picturit: Hmmmmm indeed.... to be honest, I noticed this when I cropped the picture...I think the verdict is...3 Hail Marys...
Astrid.
3 Hail Marys, LOL! Good one!
Picturit: I thought so too, they get away with everything wink
Astrid
Thank you as always, Robin.
a complex creation, Astrid. i wonder what does this scene depict. looking very good in high contrast b/w.
Picturit: I have no clue what story is been told... I saw it when I cropped it. Thank you, Ayush.
Astrid.
You caught one I didn't see, Astrid, and a great one it is. I love it. (I assume this is at the Grand Place in Brussels?)
Picturit: I just checked and this is at the Leuven Townhall.
I always am amazed what stories are being told in these sculptures.
Thank you, Ginnie.

Haha- a funny observation -every figure looks different - great reliefs!
Picturit: They are very well done, Thank you Philine.
Astrid.
Ah I see that the sculptor left her mark on this building.
Picturit: Yes indeed and I think the other sculpture is still laughing...
Astrid.
Is it Donald Trump?
Picturit: Of course.... and he gets away with it, the idiot... and nobody dares to stop him....

The mason was clearly having a laugh at someone's expense. I wonder whose face he gave the naughty man ;o)
Picturit: Don't you wonder. I know that in Cirencester there is a church and the mason has a self portrait in the church...It is where Chad lives nearby.

Astrid.
Lots of surprises come from having a close look.
Picturit: Indeed, sometimes you need a second look at things!!

Oh, she just needs a push-up smile
Picturit: ....als in 'ik zal je even een kontje geven'... HA HA HA....
Astrid.
Either the sculptor had a naughty mind or we 21st.century folk read a lot more into these things than were really meant smile
Picturit: Maybe so, but on both occasions we still kind of scratch out head.... if he would do this to me, he is eating soup for a long time (no teeth left in his mouth wink )
Astrid.
i spotted the butt grabber before i opened the comments Astrid... he's getting scolded by the man with the scepter...
i love your cornerstone....petersmile
Picturit: Thank you as always, Peter, sometimes we see these things and I cannot walk by....

Picturit: Indeed and we all know what is up there..... they were naughty back then grin...and still are I know... Don't you love all these sculptured stories... This was at the Leuven Town-hall.
Astrid.
