Picturit: Thank you, Robin, this was last Saturday next to the Castle of Loevestein, across from where we live.

Très jolie photo avec les chevaux en premier plan.
Picturit: Thank you, Martine. In summer these horses are always somewhere in that spot.
Looks like a standoff.
Picturit: I had to look that one up, but I agree with you smile
The wild horses of Loevestein sure love that spot, MLMA. I LOVE this image!!!
Picturit: Thank you, MLS. This is a place that is always different and these horses steal the show many times.

One of your nicest pictures ever, Astrid
Picturit: Thank you kindly, Lisl.
We love this place, it is at the boarder of the Merwede River across from us. Near Loevestein Castle.

He's texting the horses
Picturit: I think so too... I think he is without fuel and the text is 'HELP'...
Have a great weekend.

What for a sweet, peaceful scene!
Picturit: It is near Castle Loevestein, the horses have a great place there to be.

I can't think why but this makes me think this is somewhere in the US. Perhaps its the style of the boat or the baseball hat of the guy on MV "Astrid". I wonder if he's calling out the rescue services? The horses don't care either way.
Picturit: Universal cloths and head wear.
This is across from our town, near the Castle of Loevestein. These are some 'wild horses'...that have a lot of space to run around.
What a lovely composition Astrid!
Picturit: Thank you, Richard. It turned out well.
Have a great weekend.
It looks as if these horses are fighting over something that one of them found. The unamused HMS Astrid, is safely anchored off shore.
Picturit: Sometimes these horses are running back and forth along the coast line, always playing with each other.. Yes the HMS Astrid and safely anchored ashore, I even wonder if there is even fuel wink
How wonderful this scene is, Astrid. I just love it!
Picturit: Thank you, Mary. These horses often run back and forth along the coastline.
This has a really nice rural feel to it.
Picturit: Thank you, Brian. This is on the shore of the Merwede River, near the Castle of Loevestein.

A lot of thinkers in this picture smile Excellent composition.
Picturit: smile Indeed... I wonder if the guy needed help to get ashore and texted a buddy...
Thank you, Louis, have a great weekend.
I remember those horses!
Picturit: Indeed, the same smile... I love their colour.
Are the ponies waiting for the ferryma?
Picturit: I hope that one has money enough to pay for four... smile
PS, but that would not be good though.
A neighbour from Scotland died and on the front of the card it had a drawing of a Ferryman...and the text: 'who will pay the ferryman'...
I wonder how much horsepower the boat has? smile
Picturit: Right now I think he has any.... I do think though the engine must be powerful, there is a lot of strong currents in the river Merwede, (From Rotterdam to Germany and beyond)
It looks like four horsepower.
Picturit: I told Larry, he needs a lot of horsepower to battle the strong currents in the river Merwede, (Rotterdam to Germany and beyond)
What a lovely photo of these horses and the fisherman - all just going about their business!
Picturit: Thank you, Elizabeth. These horses are always there, except winters, the water might be too high and they cannot go anywhere. It is fun to see them in their natural surroundings...
Have a good weekend.
