Picturit: I was impressed about the second life of the tyre.
Thank you, Richard.
I never saw this, MLMA! WOW. I assume this was in Marsaxlokk, Malta. It makes for a good tug of war. smile
Picturit: It was attached to those big boats... the tyres have a second life here.

a very fine observation! The tyre seems to be sought-after.
Picturit: Recycling here...love that the tyres have a second life.
Talk about a belt and braces approach !
Picturit: I liked all the kind of different straps...
One can never tyre of Astrid.
Picturit: Thank you kindly, Chad... warn me if you do for I might have to come up with something different grin...
Oh now read that Tiff made a similar comment. Great minds think alike, as they say.
Picturit: I totally agree on that, Chad smile

A very interesting object for photographs.

It reminds me of players standing in a circle, holding a ball or each other's hands and then they shout.
Picturit: Many tyres were used for this purpose. I loved to see all the different straps 'holding on.
All tugging in different directions!
Picturit: I hope the tyre is not getting tired...

Now that's a good idea! It acts rather like a shock absorber, i suppose.
Picturit: It is amazing what they use tires for. It works well as a shock absorber. indeed.
Another use for a humble motor tyre
Picturit: There were many that got a second life...
this should keep it from banging on the pier Astrid... i love the different colours in this great shot....petersmile
Picturit: I saw on pictures that they really need these tires. The water can be very rough when there is a storm.
Thank you, Peter.
