Wonderful! They deserve their fame, Astrid!
Picturit: Thank you, Ray. Yes indeed they are famous and now I know why...
Astrid.
Oh...very very cool! And LOVE your name placement!
Picturit: Thank you very much... I thought of you many times smile
Astrid.
Famous and wonderful Astrid!
Picturit: Indeed so and they are all over.

C'est superbe avec cette architecture et ces couleurs.
Picturit: Malte est une île magnifique et je pense que vous trouverez très belle.
Malta is a wonderful island and I think you will really love it.
Astrid.
I'll never forget them...and this is a great example.
Picturit: Thank you, every time it was a joy to see them in all kinds of
variations and some really needed some paint... I told Chris, I could have a job there all year round, painting balconies...

They reflect the differing personalities of their owners
Picturit: I guess so and some kept them well painted but most of them needed some paint... I could have a job there all year round.... wink

Oh, what for wonderful balconies - I think I should Malta one day!
Picturit: You would love it, but never go between Mai and September... too hot. April is a wonderful month, flowers are blooming and the temperatures are between 20C and 25C. Malta is very doable in 10 days.
Thank you, Philine.
Astrid.
They look great in their varied colours Astrid, and as usual you have cleverly sneaked your name into Malta. How did you get it through customs?
Picturit: I made Ginnie distract the guy in charge... and I whistled an innocent tune wink.... Those balconies was something else, every time a joy.
Thank you Chad.

In all states, Astrid - I wonder if they were coloured differently when first built
Picturit: I think so yes, for these are the basic colours we saw. I love the blue and we even wondered if there is a true colour that represents Malta.
Astrid.
The one in the middle is in a bad way!
Picturit: I know, some are even worse...
Astrid.
Chad has new glasses. He doesn't really need them but feels that they are the only thing that might make him look intelligent.
Picturit: They look good on you smile.. I also don't need my glasses, but I may end up in the wrong company to work and don't recognize the people.... (just kidding)
I think they make you look very intelligent smile

I like the colours in this. One towards the right looks like it has been "Improved" by having the panelling removed. The blue is my favourite.
Picturit: I love the blue too, these are basic colours we saw. Some balconies looked like they could fall down any minute.. there is a lot of repair needed, all over.
Astrid.
Aren't these unusual add ons to the buildings. Time out rooms. I would like to know the story of them.

This is what I found. I noticed they also used to dry the laundry in that spot.....
I loved to see them all over the place.
Astrid.
They are so old but so beautiful.
Picturit: Thank you. Hot weather, salt wind... that does it for most of the balconies.
Astrid.

I see some of them, like the guy between green and red, are not playing the game of fame.

They are very colourful smile
The pops of colour really add to their look. I also like the open long windows.
great composition Astrid... there is a great difference between the restores balconies and the ones that are about to fall into the street....petersmile
