Picturit: No, sad we had one of the warmest Christmas' ever. This is a picture from 2010 and dedicated to Louis to cool. Louis had temperatures of 40C....104 F for Christmas.......

A lovely shot Astrid, very wintery. I miss the snow, this winter is too warm for me
Picturit: I miss the snow too, this feels so unnatural to me. I do hope we get some freezing weather, we need it too, to kill all the bugs...
Astrid.
Now...if only we could have this Wonderland THIS year!!!
Picturit: That would great.... I miss the snow.

(Sigh!) I'm beginning to doubt that will even get a winter season never mind seeing snow. The last decent snow I saw was in 2010, too.
Picturit: I hope we will get some snow and normal freezing weather. Too warm right now for my liking.

Yes, winter 2010 was a season of snow we are longing so much for. I love your polder image very much!
Picturit: Thank you Philine. In the Netherlands we have a saying... Gelukkig hebben we de foto's nog.... It is goods that we still have the pictures.
Astrid.
I remember this stuff grin Put money on snow in January/February
Picturit: I already did and I come prepared, I already have my snow/winter tires installed... LET IT SNOW HA... maybe I am so sorry for what I wish for smile
Astrid.
It is much colder in the polder than here Astrid.
Picturit: ....don't believe everything you see, this was in 2010 and often I have to reminded 'what is snow'?? and have to google it...

Thank you, Astrid. Another scorcher today, so I feel a lot cooler.

If I have my bearings correct, this is very near to Lekkerkerk, where we stayed in a boerderij, with all the Dutch family for a long weekend in 1994.
Picturit: You are so welcome and there are more to come smile...
I am glad this brought back some good memories.
Astrid.
Recently some new immigrants here experienced snow for the first time. One thing that surprised them so much was that it hurt. It was cold and their hands hurt after holding it for a while.
Picturit: Welcome in Canada I would say.....
They will get used to it. wink
Astrid.
I must admit it does look good, but as you probably know the U.K.comes to a standstill every time it snows because we are never prepared enough, hence it is perhaps better that we don't have much of it.
Picturit: I know, we come to a total standstill too... but I come prepared with my winter-tires...
Astrid.
We are having the coldest ever here in the desert! Can't wait to head to Cambodia to warm up! Enjoy!!
Picturit: sad the weather is completely out of shape.... I think you will warm up in Cambodia smile
Astrid.
I will probably be February before we see anything like this!
