Did I even see this, Astrid??? Look at the Hart, my namesake. This takes my breath away, really. Thank you for not only capturing it but showing it today. He/she was not very old, sad to say.
Picturit: Yes you did, when the sun was gone, I was so lucky.
Hart....I thought of you....erm...when don't I think of you grin....23 year of age is too young, even for the Middle Ages.
Graag gedaan mijn lieve schat.

This is rather grand but well designed.
Picturit: That is what I like about RC Churches, the grand designs they have and for being not catholic I see this as art in the most pure form, the statues, the stain windows, everything.
Have a great day, we are counting down......
Astrid.
...en maar 23 jaar oud geworden!
Picturit: veel te jong om van het leven te hebben kunnen genieten........

This is absolutely gorgeous Astrid. I spend a lot of my time looking at this sort of thing too: I never think of it as morbid
Picturit: I never get bored within churches, it is the art that fascinate me, the stain windows, the atmosphere.
I am not a Catholic, however I always want to go in the churches, it has nothing to do with being morbid, I love cemeteries, they are so quiet.......
In Austria they have fabulous cemeteries, small, but the tombs are so well designed.

What a stunning crest. Especially love the light!!
I love these little details from churches Astrid, if only each one could tell the story of the person remembered, how interesting it would be.
Picturit: I know what you mean, if only it could 'talk'.

Love the light warming the cold stone.
Picturit: You are right, the sun did make it all warm...I am always amazed what 'light' does.

grave art is for the living. for the dead, it no longer matters.
but it's beautiful shot, astrid.

Have a good night sleep, it is way too late for me right now grin, I am glad I have the Monday off too, tomorrow just a working day as usual....

The light and the angle of the shot creates very good tones that make the image even more stronger.
