It was great to meet Vintage/Adrian (this is his URL) in Amsterdam,

we had so much to talk about, even about the 'Double-Dutch'

I had to google it........ :-))

Special thanks to Adrain's wife, who took the picture for us.

it was a wonderful afternoon and the fact that 2 people from both ends in the world meet in person

while they met on the internet, it still amazes me.

.........it is a small world indeed..........

Picturit: It brings so much joy and it is so nice to meet the person behind the pictures.
Ginnie met Adrian in Brisbane last year, now was it my turn to meet him on Amsterdam soil.

Now Vintage has met both halves, a year apart. grin His wife did a great job. Just think, I used to live half of every month close to that very spot. What a small world, indeed! I love the bloggers-meeting-bloggers world.
Picturit: Meeting Vintage was great, we had so much fun and I loved to walk around and show him some of the parts of Amsterdam.
Bloggers meeting bloggers is so much fun.
You know where this picture was taken, we have been walking here many times when we went to the Vondelpark for a nice walk in the park......
or to get to the Van Gogh Museum to sit on a bench with an icecream.....
Great memories of those picture hunts togeher.

l bet he was a perfect gentleman as well Astrid. The world is becoming ever smaller with the internet, skype, msn it is so much easier to keep in contact
Picturit: Adrian is the perfect gentleman, you are so right about the internet, I do skype with Ginnie every day for at least one hour.....6 hours difference, it is our life line.

What a charming picture. I think you're right about the global element in Shutterchance: it often blows my mind too Tracy.
Picturit: It is just amazing, I never thought this all was going to happen when I bought my camera in Mai 2007.....2 years later....a lot happened...sometimes I have to pinch myself and tell myself what a lucky person I am with so many friends.

What for a sympathical and happy looking pair! Yes, we are in Amsterdam, and Lady Polder is arranging mooie grachtentochten! Deze foto is prachtig gecomponeerd en allen bezoekers van je blog kunnen zien wat voor een groene en waterrijke, unieke stad Amsterdam is! Stemming goed, plekje goed, weer goed, alles goed voor Vintage, zijn echtgenoot en jou!
Picturit: It was so much fun, I would love to be a tour guide.....'when you look to the right, you won't see anything on the left....just joking.
Philine, het was een fantastische middag, dit was net buiten het hotel waar Adrian en zijn vrouw logeerden, vlakbij waar Ginnie gewoond heeft, het was vreemd om daar te zijn zonder haar.
Het deed me goed om er eens een middagje uit te zijn met deze lieve mensen.

Lol at Chad! I try to read on Vintage's t-shirt what/whom he is just loving: I love...Astrid- for sure? (if I knew the name of his wife, I would perhaps read..., but I think we can love some persons!)
Picturit: I did not know what was on the shirt and I did not want to mess with it.. wink
Ginny is the name of his wife......yes with a 'y' and not 'ie'

Ahaha.. the picture as Vintage today..all part of the plan? The wonders of the internet do indeed bring people together. I hope you had a lot of fun togther.

Picturit: I know, it is great, sometimes we are lucky to be able to meet, sometimes we have to travel to them....
Maybe one day...never say never...at least I don't ever say never again.

Well dear I was in Holland last week but not in Amsterdam this time. I come there for the last 5 years and stay in Dordrecht were my partner lives. Maybe one day we make a bigger meeting with several shuterchancers from there smile. Tot ziens!
Picturit: tongue....I live close by Dordrecht, you already know that Ginnie will move to the Netherlands too, so we will arrange a meeting when she is with me.
It will be fun.
Tot ziens, are you learning Dutch too, I teach Ginnie too...wink, beetje bij beetje gaat dat al heel erg goed.

It is amazing all this meetings that are going on. I wish I wasn't living so at the one end of the earth.

yes right...because the Internet technology sophistication, the world feels to be small. Even with the foto blog to communicate through images, we can know each other and see photos from the work of countries in the world. Regards from Yogyakarta Indonesia.

Picturit: Me too tongue thank you Aussie, we had a great time and meeting Ginny was great too, they are a very nice couple and I am glad I was able to keep up with the English.
I think Adrian is still full of stories about the vacation.

I've returned from my holiday determined to look back at your meeting with Adrian and I am not dissapointed Astrid. What a great picture his wife has taken and I am so glad you had a good time to gether the three of you. Perhaps one day some of us in the U.K.might have the opportunity to meet you also.
Picturit: Brian, once Ginnie is living with me, you can count on it that we will be coming to the UK and we will make a nice meet-up with as much people we can get.
