Picturit: Thanks Martin, it was so much fun to do, we (15, with camera's) were on this road were a lot of busses drove by, I almost was run down by a taxi....I was standing on his parking place.... wink

Een geweldige artistieke nacht- foto! The workshop must have been very interesting and creative! I'm glad to read the Dutch word: LIJN BUS!
Picturit: Thank you Philine, yes this was the LIJN BUS Utrecht station, I think you will see them on Saterday!! That workshop was so much fun, een mevrouw kwam naar me toe en vroeg me wat we aan het doen waren, ik zei dat we een workshop nachtfotografie hadden, maar ik voegde daar aan toe; eigenlijk mag ik het niet vertellen maar wij zijn van de politieacademie en we oefenen in het fotograferen van te-hard-rijders....tonguetongue, die anderen moesten daar wel vreselijk om lachen ook de 'onderwijzeres' het is leuk om zo met anderen, informatie uit te wisselen.

Great movement, but well controlled. I love the lights in this shot. You really had a great time I can tell and the workshop was a joy for us too,just look at the results WONDERFULsmile

Excellent - now you are into the type of movement pictures I like. You can even see someone in the bus watching you. It all convey that 'moment in time - forever lost' that I get when travelling by bus or train.

Joining groups and clubs like this is also very enriching - learn about the camera and other people. Mevrouw Konstabel.
Picturit: Excuse me for the late reply, Louis thank you for your kind words, this was indeed very learningfull to be with a lot of other photographers to exchange thoughts and ideas, I cannot help it, when I have a great time with others I always have to joke around.....I had to smile at my new tittle, Mevr. Konstabel....

Very nice, I always like pictures that "paint with color" and this picture certainly does this.

I like the variety of colours of lights.
Picturit: There were some cars too and the bus had that great green sign in front of the vehicle...it turned out rather well.

This is brilliant Astrid, and so clear. It's making me want to go out there and do some night work (of the photography kind!) I love the sense of movement.

Picturit: tongue I knew what you meant by night work...it is a dangerous spot to just wander along...gringrin. I agree though, this was fun, also to have the enrichment of being with other photographers, I could tell they knew too what it is all about...for one thing we had to know all the buttons on the camera, I am glad I know 95%, except the BIG green one...wink which I removed from my camera...wink

Great technique here, Astrid. But I am concerned at how you got home...presumeably you did.

I see that you Dutch spell Bus, Brasserie and Restaurant in English! Bravo.

Picturit: I did get home eventually..grin I was by car, but don't tell anybody, yes we do have a lot of English/French/German words in our language, I think I can start 'Dutch in 10 lessons' for some of the SC too...I think I have to make that some weekend in July ...and Chad, ik word niet so gauw boos, alleen als ze mij eerst boos maken......Hartelijke groeten uit.....niet zo ver weg als jij, Midden Nederland....

This is special, really like it. You take on good experiments, I need to do that more.
Picturit: Ruth, that is the most fun of the photography, I never thought I was able to do these shots when I bought this camera last Mai...it is FUN, it really is, don't be afraid of some experiments...it might turn out just great tonguetongue.

Lovely night shot Astrid. Did you use a Tripod?
Picturit: Aussie, all these night shot were taken with a tripod and a remote control to make sure that there is absolutely no motion in the camera and tripod...it can be done with the selftimer too.
I do hope you have a great time in China, please show us some great pictures when you return...
