HA! How did you get the penthouse office, you lucky lady! You know I love this corner in Utrecht where you can see the old and the new in the same frame. My office is in the old building, of course (so much character),so I guess that means you're on your way over for a cuppa coffee? IT'S FRIDAY!
Picturit: I did put in my charmes, that was easy as winking.....I know you went for the old building, it has character indeed.....I will take my coffee with cream and one speculaasje with it (windmill coocky )
Yep it is Friday....I am off in any second now....
Astrid.
Wonderful detail in these contrasting buildings, Asrid. I know which one I like best! (:o)
Picturit: Yes, I had first pick and I love heights and the view is great, I invite you for some coffee, let me know when you are in town.....
Have a great weekend.
Astrid.

Astrid.
A beautifully designed image focussing on the old with a backdrop of the new. The tones work well in this and the new building does not try to mimick the old but sets it off in all its glory. Good lighting and sharpness to this image, Astrid.
Picturit: Chad, your words make me happy, I love this old building, it has so much character, indeed in the surrounding new buildings are build but I am glad they keep the old ones in shape.
Have a great weekend,
Astrid.
Great contrast but what I like most is your name in lights - I really took a moment to realise it was your signature!
Ingrid
Picturit: the contrast is great, there was not a name on the building so I thought I just buy it an put mine on...I am glad you like it.
Have a great weekend,
Astrid.
Surprised you didn't go for the belfry in the old building - a bit draughty I suppose ;o)
Picturit: Yes and the rain that keeps coming into my neck...it is great in sommer but in winter I prefer the new office...
Have a great weekend,
Astrid.

astrid
Picturit: Jude, I am glad that at least I could make you happy today, hope you have weekend too by tomorrow....thanks for your kind words.
Have a great weekend,
Astrid.
Picturit: Het is het Moreelse park, vlak bij het station en het gebouw van de NS, it is close by the building with the UFO I posted a few weeks ago.
Have a great weekend,
Astrid.
You've done it again Astrid. You're very creative. You should have labelled your building Astrid Towers like the Donald would do Lovely contrast depicted by this image.
Picturit: That would be the day...I will keep that in mind though.
I thank you for your kind words, I appreciate you compliment.
Have a great weekend.
Astrid.
Astrid.

Nice contrast between the old and the new. I love the old building it has so much character.
Picturit: Thank you so much for your kind words, the old building is a real beautiful one, also at night,
have a great weekend.
Astrid.
I like the old building better than the new. Maybe more of the new one in the shot might change my mind? Nice contrast
Picturit: I doubt it Mick, the old one is a really nice building, it was a pity I could not get more of it in.
Thank you for your kind words.
Have a great weekend,
Astrid.
Your signatures are getting better and better Nice juxtaposition of old and new..the buildings that is not the signature!
Picturit: I figured that out Bill, thank you so much for your kind words, that old building is a realy nice characterful building, I have walked passed many many times and it never bores me, at night this is a beauty, I might try a night shot once.
Have a great weekend and than you very much.
Astrid.
You are very creative with your name your pictures
Picturit: Thank you Magnus, it is not always easy to find a nice place, but I thought it looked pretty in neon, I haven't seen it at night though
Have a great weekend.
Astrid.
A great contrast between the old and the new. The newer building looks very sterile in comparison with the old building. Glad that there are still some gems left like this!
Picturit: You are so right here, I know this building for more than 30 years, it did not change a thing.
They built all new around it.
Have a great weekend.
Astrid.
Astrid. You must take this in the way it is intended but do you belong to an advertising agency ;-) richard btw ..lovely old building
Picturit: No Richard, I do not belong to an advertising agency, but I just had fun with it, the old building is just great, it did not change over the years.
Have a great weekend.
Astrid.

Picturit: Tim, thank you for your kind words, when I can I like to put my name in odd places, just for the fun of it....I love the old building

Yes! Astrid! Finally it is Friday... But I do not know clearly as it is your office! The new building or the old one? lol!
Picturit: I like the old one better José-Angel, much more character.....I am glad it is weekend, hope you have a nice one too and I hope you can relax,
Astrid.
I woke up this morning to rush to my PC to see your image of the day and its not there! Still, yesterday's is worth another visit I liked it so much, Astrid.
Picturit: Chad I am sorry, I make up on Monday, because of my busy weekends I don't have time for posting (read 'responding to my comments in a proper way' so I decided I post from monday on to friday.....Thank you so much for your really kind words, they mean more to me than I can tell you, thanks my friend,
Hope you have a nice day, now I rush over to yours, before I will count sheep in my polder in a few minutes, I will have a look at your sheep so I know I count the right animals............we have cows too, you know
This is a nice shot that let's see the difference between old buildings and new one's. Leuk dat je mee doet met de workshop nachtfotografie.
Picturit: Thanks Jeroen, for your kind words.
Ik verheug me echt op de nacht fotografie, het is altijd leuk om ideeën uit te wisselen en nieuwe informatie te krijgen.
Astrid.
Yep it is Friday....I am off in any second now....
