It has the feel of old holland. Excellent conversion.

No parking, only if you don't have the keys smile
Picturit: Thanks Louis for your compliment, this is old Holland, it is in the center of Utrecht, it sure needs a key to get out/in smile have a nice weekend.
Very nice selective colour Astrid. I like the way you made it look like an out of time picture. Well done
Picturit: In the original picture it was red and white too, thanks Richard as always, have a nice weekend.

I like this, astrid. I did not realise it was b&w initially. It works well for this type of image.
Picturit: Yes it does, it was almost B&W in the street only that old car was ugly red...
Astrid
great one, I like the little red in a B&W image. What did you use for it? I use a program called 'Tint' for it.
Picturit: Paint Shop Pro XI I love it, I don't use too much of it, but this it does great, thank you for your kind words.

Ah selective colouring. That's one thing on my 'to-learn' list. Then I'll probably use it to death smile. Nice photo!

Oh no! Some scofflaws have torn down the barriers! The world surely must be coming to an end! Selective color sorts out this shot very nicely.
Picturit: Yes I know Martin, the world comes to an end very fast, I just saw them running away grin I am glad you like the picture though smile have a nice weekend.

i'm not normally too keen on partial de-sat images but this one suits the technique. good work. mal
Picturit: This was the first time I ever used it, normaly I would have never done this, but in the original the 2 panels were Red/White too, after coverting into B&W the white still was very bright I did not do a thing to that, so I decided to give it a try to get it red.
I am pleased you like it, have a nice weekend.

Twiddling!!! Hooray! I have just downloaded a trial of Paint shop pro X2. It isn't bad at all.
Picturit: Yippeeeayeee for you Bill, it is great fun, I have the XI version, I like it, that I just can do the minimum of adjustmants, I don't want to do the circus style.
If you ave any questions I gladly like to help, if I can smile
Have a great weekend, I do hope you find some time to 'play' grin.
Astrid.
Astrid.
Love the effect of this Astrid, they always say get something red in the picture, you must have enjoyed the Photoshop part of this.
Picturit: Brian this was the first time I used this, it is fun, but I know, that I will not use it too much..... have a great weekend.
Astrid.
Good reflection in your title. A very interesting image. B&W I like with that point of color!
Picturit: Thank you José-Angel, for your kind words and for visiting, have a nice evening.

You know that I dabble with selective coloring from time to time, Astrid! This would definitely be one of them, if this were mine, so like minds are on the same page. Don't you love when that happens?! smile

As I understand selective coloring, at least in PhotoShop, a photo is converted to B&W and then the spot where you want color is "erased/selected" so that the original color comes through. So one would assume that the original color here was red. You can also change a color, which is different than selective coloring, right?
Picturit: Yes Ginnie, I love when things like this happen....I just selected the trianle one by one and changed the color, it can be done in any color I want, I don't think I do it the tradional way, if there is any wink next time when you are in Arkel, you come sit next to me and I show how I do it, we might even have boerenkool met worst....just for you tongue mlv
Astrid
Nice effect of selective color, it gives a really nice picture ! Bravo !!
Picturit: I am glad you like it Zeb, it was so much fun to try this, have a great weeekend.
